Sander Berge is a fucking unit; six feet five, 15 stone and fairly quick. Comfortable with the ball at his feet. Basically a Poch type of player

All Hercules’ post confirms is what Poch himself as said. It’s not likely we’ll do much in January. Keep expectations fairly low and our collective mindfulness should be ok

Expectations of Spurs fans in transfer windows to be kept low!!!!
No way that will happen after not spending in the summer and the result yesterday.
All are well aware there are no spaces in squad but still want more.
This window is really about planning for next summer- when hopefully something will change (for the good of us all).

It sounds like Berge is what we need tbh. Essentially Eric Dier but more comfortable on the ball it seems.

Thanks Herc. Pretty depressing. It would be nice to make a statement of intent to help the league campaign and the battle to keep hold of Poch but granted January isn’t the best time to do deals (this statement carries less currency when we also failed to deal in the summer but that’s spilt milk now).

What are we all waiting for? Has the last 5 years taught us nothing? We sell before we buy and our fringe players, as the summer proves, are difficult to shift and would raise no significant amount anyway. Will not be hood winked again into thinking we can/will purchase anybody that will improve the squad now!

Appreciate the info. Massive change of tune from Herc there.

As long as Poch is happy that's all I care about. I hope we don't see a grumpy Poch in the second half of the season as I'm sure something wasn't quite right at the beginning of the season.

It’s not as if I can really justify expecting any business in Jan, as we all know it’s a hard market. But, if I’m honest, I will be a little disappointed if our only business this season is one or two youth players who don’t actually join until next summer.

They always say that though. Doesn't matter if it's summer or winter.

You'd be pissed off too if you missed out on Jack Grealish and Bradley Dack!

Sounds like we're not fussed about building on the squad too much this January so a holding pattern until the summer, hopefully get Top 4 as we still should do and then curse ourselves for missing out on Berge when he's tearing it up elsewhere :p

Regarding Rabiot. It is like that bird you really want to shag, that you meet in a club. But you have more chance shagging her mate. The moral to this is; we have been for mega months talking to his many advisors, as well as mama. Problem is Barca heavily in on for De Jong. And told it is nailed on. They won’t go for both!

I personally doubt it will happen. But after you shag her mate, she may want to you to shag her as well.

A bit of raw humour, but hope you can read between the lines
