Right burn the baldy dwarf and I am off to find the nearest bridge.
I can't believe how bad things have got at Spurs in the last year or so.
Now we haven't bought any strikers half our team will have a tragic accident and we will get relegated. All this would have been so different if that bald git stumped up what ever it would take to get SB or MD.

Or this is the best that we have had it in a long time. We have a clear long term plan which if works makes the future bright. Yes it would have been nice to get a striker in but ultimately it's all about that long term plan. We do still have options even if they are not perfect they are probably better than we have had for a while.

I work with a man utd fan and he was saying he would love to have our forward line rather than what they currently have.

Well we've a pretty strong team and squad and may well still get top 4 or even challenge for the title if Kane stays fit and in form.
But cover/support for Kane is the glaring weakness in the squad. We had a month to sign a good striker and much longer to line one up. Hugely disappointing that we didn't do so. In this bizarre season with Leicester leading in February we have a great chance of top 4 or even the title. Another good striker coming in would have made those prospects much better still. Chadli and Son are decent options up top v lesser teams but not v the best.

to all those having a good moan/meltdown, why don't you wait till the end of the season or a time we can't possibly get top 4, then you can do the

"told you so"

I'm glad the club never bought any old striker in just in case Kane gets cooked.

bloody typical we never bought anyone the only time I've been able to follow the transfer window due to being off work. back to work Thursday:)

Net spend 2015/2016 = £0
Was anyone surprised?

Chill guys, I was being sarcastic :p there was a table on the BBC showing Watford's spend and it showed us having a net spend of zero for the season. I picked the wrong smiley though in hindsight to show I was just being funny.

Don't feel we're any worse off.
The players we've sold/loaned weren't playing anyway.
None of our main rivals have strengthened either.

I was far more disappointed/disillusioned after the summer window closed, but the performances so far have convinced me otherwise.

Our scouts have to get this summer right though. Two windows, 1 striker target first window, 2 in the second, neither were realistically available without us overpaying. Need to up their game.

Now it's over to Pochettino, he said he preferred a small squad, and wouldn't buy for the sake of it. So be it. Could be a naive view from him, but then again, he's got us this far. I actually rate him, and his squad. Time for Wimmer, Bentaleb, Mason, Son and Njie (once fit) etc to step up, those who've not been regular starters this season so far. Let's see what Carter-Vickers, Winks, Onomah and Oduwa can bring.

Most pressing signing this window (and next) was a decent backup to Lloris.
Our defenders and midfielders have like for like replacements, imo Son and Chadli can do a good job of filling the void left by an absent Kane.
But Vorm for Lloris, that's our weakest link right now.

This could be the calming mantra of every single transfer window over the last few years.

Given how the last two strikers we bought turned into jujugate on the one hand and a man whose feet were seemingly replaced by beach balls on the other..it was always a long shot.

The way I've looked at it since the summer, is that we have six regular goal threats who can fill four forward positions: Kane, Son, Alli, Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela.

We've also got a number of others who with a bit more work could join that group: Dembele, Onomah, Carroll, Mason and Nidge.

Basically, any team would miss losing a player like Kane, he's special, but we've got a lot of players who are very effective around the opposition box, even if they aren't traditional strikers...
