Okay technically The Mirror aren't ITK but still no thanks. Lennon is one of those players that people like to moan about but who we always miss when he doesn't play. Sacrificing a first team player for another in a different position is not progress, it's just a sideways step. They can have Bentley instead.

potl mentioned a couple of weeks ago that azza and the club are sorting out a new contract, to me that's pretty cast iron he ain,t going anywhere, which is good, for much of last season he was as good as bale..

yeah, no thank you

i would, wasnt there rumours of Lennon wanting to go back north?.....also may be a way of getting city to help us with wages...you scratch our back and we give you Lennon?...maybe the difference in transfer value could be used to fund the shortfall in Adayor's (sp) wages?...everyone gets what they want then.....just a thought

Would Lennon actually get into their team ahead of Adam Johnson...........I wouldn't think so.

The longer we take to sign a striker the higher the price goes as the potential selling club know we are getting more and more desperate, and besides they would want to bring in a replacement themselves.....

I think he would, or at very least it would be very competitive. Lennon offers real pace which will stretch the hell out of the sides on their pitch - its massive.

The other problem we have, if there is any truth to this, is the wages City would offer him. I'm sure he'll be offered around 100k a week...

Lennon suits the way we play too well, if he's not going to be a starter he's one of the best backups we could have for the wide right position.

If we happen to buy another right midfielder, say they get injured, Lennon is a fantastic option to have to take one's place, or to bring on later on in games against tired defenders.

We'd be so stupid to let him go.

Apart from the fact that the story came from a paper rather than ITK, what's :duh: about that statement.

Bale was sensational throughout 2010, and okay in 2011. Lennon was solid pretty much throughout.

Playing devils advocate perhaps thats why we really are chasing other wide men...Mata etc...I know we wanted more competition but perhaps there is a greater need that we haven't anticipated.

Lennon was not solid!! He was pants after the world cup.. Really bad infact. He seems to have lost the confindence to beat his man. Yeah he picked up through out the season but to say he was as good as bale is :duh:. imo. Bale dropped off at the end due to his back problems. But he was in double figures before feb i think.?? All of course IMO.

Lennon wasnt pants, he wasnt at his flying best but he was never pants.

Lennon pulled it out so many times when it really mattered. He is very under valued tbh.

Johnson can not give 20% of off the ball awareness and defensive qualities lennon does.
