I wouldn't want to get rid of Naughton both him and Walker are young in terms of games played, I would loan him out to a mid table club or QPR(cause of warnock) and see how he develops

Naughton may develop in to a better RB than walker, no one knows whats going to happen

Didn't Sheffield Utd have one in each full back slot for a while? Maybe a thought for the future, especially if we were to sell Benny.

Vucinic would be the most 'main' striker we would sign in my opinion. Can't imagine we'd go for anyone bigger, just doesn't seem our way.

Vucinic, Coulibaly, Defoe, Pavy and (maybe) Adebayor I imagine'll be our strike force next year.

Can't play for us. Would be 3rd team in a year.

If he was on loan would that definitely be the case? I'm sure we've loaned players out to two different clubs in a season before after they've played for us?

He would be a fucking great signing if we could get him on loan with a view to a permanant deal. Granted, Sanchez is an upgrade, but Affelay is very, very decent.

Actually I think it is our way, the only thing is we usually fail

For 2 games in May 09 when Gary Naysmith was injured Naughton moved to LB and Walker was promoted from the academy to debut at RB.

I watched him play at Leicester last season and the championship is definitely his level. Think he'd struggle at a Norwich/QPR tbh.

I saw him play at leicester last season and bar a couple of games he was brilliant, He wouldn't struggle at PL imo, he is better than walker defensively and if he is so rubbish why was he voted the best RB in the championship

Also unlike walker, he wasn't in a very good team and was strangely one of the experienced players compared to the Leicester defence which included Mee, Bruma and VAH

People want to sell BAE? After all the shite I read from so many people about the disloyalty of Modric. Now the one true loyal player, who indeed is one of the best left back in the BPL, who has publicly say he wants to stay at Spurs, and people want to sell him?
Is it about the money? We have so many positions to strength and has not done so yet, and people want to sell our great left back so we can waste more time, that should be use to strengthen other positions, to look for another bloody left back to replace the one we sold for no bloody reason?
The shite I read everyday.

I tend to judge players on ability, not how much they like us.

could we not turn Corluka into a left back, and have Walker at the right. sorted.

Go and watch Chelsea away. Corluka's too slow to play his own position let alone LB.

If he is so reckless in and around the area, why is it that not one person here would be able to name a goal we've conceded because of him since he started playing regularly. After all, he's been first choice LB for 2.5 seasons now.

How about the goal we conceded on Saturday where Ekotto just decided he couldn't be arsed to run any more and let their scorer saunter in and score ?

I'm sure there's been a few in between but the ball watching for Inter Milan's that got our keeper sent off and saw us 1-0 down after a few minutes was up there with his not so finest moments.

recent enough for you ?

I'm probably completely alone on this, but as long as we didn't pay stupid money - and I don't think the fee for Huntelaar would be anything like 25m - then if we couldn't get Adebayor or Vucinic or any of the other uber's we'd been linked with then I'd take Huntelaar. He's a better finisher than Keane, Defoe, Pav and Crouch. He's definitely tougher than Keane, Defoe and Pav (not hard to be fair). Would play OK with VDV - they've linked well for Holland over the last 12 months.

Not my first choice, but we could do a shit load worse.

I still think he'd be an upgrade too (though time is really starting to run out for him, he'll be 28 next month), but there is zero chance that he would cost €25M and very low chance that we would be interested. He went to Schalke for €12M last summer (and then went on to have a pretty lackluster season) and I'm sure if we'd wanted him then we could have gotten him for similar.

I hear you, but way down the list for me. I feel Vucinic is most definitely realistic, which ITK very much supports, so KJH while might be a marginal upgrade, and thats debatable at present, isn't really an astute signing I would of thought.

I have deleted my response to BC because it was very vitriolic and over the top, but suffice to say that everything I said in it was utterly correct and fully justified.

That's not a hard and fast rule, you just have to ask for dispensation. That's why I don't think the new Fifa rules will make the kind of impact we might hope as the rich clubs will find (and be allowed to find) ways around them.

My lucky bastard mate is on holiday in South Africa and is jammy enough to be staying in the same hotel as the Spurs team. He has chatted to a few of the lads in the bar and they are all trying to encourage Modders to stay, the feeling is he will.

He sent me a pic of Harry and him to prove it

Fair play!

Looks like a lumberjack convention to me though
