Let's be honest it's not been any sort of rebuild at all has it. Romero the only unquestionalable first 11 improvement and all the deadwood still here.

I know I know, 8 days left, but I just can't see us doing anywhere close to what was speculated/needed. It's been nowhere near enough and I think we look weaker than last year.

Think on the Traore question...I'm inclined to view his impact on the team as a whole ...incredibly exciting potential wise.

As opposed to just looking at his in
individual stats...bit one dimensional thinking that.

Absolutely spot on. Regardless of whether we do any further business. We needed to be ruthless and get things organised a lot sooner. We have glaring issues in midfield and defence that need to be addressed. Looks like we will be shoehorning Son into the striker position instead of investing in a striker. Its unfortunately the same old Spurs.

I struggle to believe with the way things are turning out, that Levy is not involved in all of our transfer activity. This window doesn't seem any different to others in recent years, infact worse.

In one breath they’re saying we can’t sign a CB/RB because of the number of current players in those positions then go on to say we want to sign another winger for 40m+

I’ve accepted we were spun a line with regards that our incomings weren’t dependant on Kane’s sale, but the lack of outgoings is even more frustrating when we supposedly had buyers lined up for the likes of Sissoko, Aurier et al but now it looks like we are stuck with them

I still believe the likes of Aurier and Sissoko will move on this week as teams get desperate and both are affordable, I'm happy with Sanchez staying and of course will be over the moon if Harry stays too.
I would like to see Auour come in as feel he would be great for our midfield.
Traore if its a loan deal then why not give it a go.
The Japanese lad at Bologna would also be good and i think he will come straight in if Aurier leaves.
Lets do the unthinkable and be patient, in 8 days time all will be revealed.

I'm less concerned about the striker issue if we sign Traore and Kane stays, but definitely concerned about the lack of creativity in midfield. We're ok defensively and Tanganga, Dier and Sanchez's early performances have been encouraging - though another RB would be ideal - but without Ndombele we have absolutely no spark in the middle of the park.

If we purchase Adama, surely Son is pushed forward and becomes a forward. We seem rather stacked in the winger department, unless we aim to shift one on.

If Kane is staying, a back up striker is unlikely to get many opportunities, it doesn't bother me too much. We had no striker against City and won, and have Scarlett who's clearly staying around. I'm really torn on the Traore front, could be a great addition, but am concerned by another player who's end product is pretty hit and miss.

Not for me. We need another striker in. I suspect the club know that. We've always tried to get another back up in and will do again this window. We cant run Son into the ground. We saw last window his contribution massively tails off second half of the season if he is over played.

I do think GLC is creative in the middle so when we play at home and he’s fully fit he’s another forgotten option

So if we do sign Traore that's potentially £80m on him and Romero next season.

Hopefully we're expecting to make up a lot of lost revenue this year.

I think that we've gotta be realistic. It's quite clear that our issue is getting players out and as frustrating as that may be, it's a reality that we can't do a huge amount about. We can't force any teams to buy our players and the market is in a weird state thanks to Covid. Normally we would probably be able to flog players out into Europe but there's a lack of funds out there for those clubs.

I can totally understand the logic behind signing Adama to push Son up front. I'm pretty comfortable with that and Traore would bring an excitement that I think we'd all enjoy once it's happening. The concern for me tho is the lack of options in a striker that can be a target man. Kane can do it but Son can't and yesterday was evidence of that. Equally, last Thursday Scarlett had real trouble getting into the game.

I'm less concerned about defence at the moment. We seem to be doing well, Rodon will be back soon and Romero will adapt and be available before long. RB would be more of a worry if Japhet hadn't started so well, thats his spot to lose.

We need a creative midfielder or we need to find a way to get Ndombele playing or GLC having more impact.

If I had a choice I'd want a playmaking midfielder and a striker. I like Adama but IMO he's not a player we should prioritise.
