We've all been bitten too many times by that particular bug.

I think every year there is talk about an 'exciting' player we're linked with. And more often than not we end up signing Gregorzs Rasiak.

Bet I can find a fairly epic video made by a genius that would get us all excited about him ;)

Spurs fans just have ridiculous expectations of transfer windows, and never learn their lessons.

We've already seen quite a lot of change. Paulinho, Capoue, Holtby, Kaboul definitely gone. Stambouli and Adebayor looking very likely, and potentially a handful more. We've then added Wimmer, Alderweireld, Alli and Pritchard to the squad. That's significant change already!

In hindsight everybody looked back at the signing of the 7 with the Bale money as attempting too much change and yet people are just desperate for more.

It would appear pretty likely with the outgoings talked of, and the ITK that we'll be adding at least two more, which is 6 new faces to the squad, matched by potentially 8+ leaving. That's a pretty big change, and doesn't even consider the addition of youth prospects to the squad on a regular basis.

Some people seem to just want signings for singings sake. They also tend to be the people that then bemoan the need to sell so many players each year.
It does seem like everyone here is always overjoyed whenever a new signing seems likely, no matter who it is, and always bash anyone who dissents.

That said, I am sure 100% of the fans would be over the moon if we went through a window having only brought in 2 players, both of whom actual quality that would without a doubt improve the first team. We dont do that though and would seemingly rather buy 4-5 squad players at a time spending £30-£40m, with potential to be good players that we can sell for big pay offs, some of whom seemingly block the paths of our most ready youths. That is just our transfer policy. Build for profits in the future. While some are perfectly content with that right now, I am sure most fans would rather buy just 2 players for that same amount of money who would genuinely improve the first team and give squad places to our most ready youth.

Jasper on SO

Soldado will NOT be sold unless we have an agreement in place on our target. If Ade goes I doubt that will change. There is another versatile striker we have been in discussions that may be near it end of window. That is the reason why we won't let Soldado go, who Poch and squad loves, unless we are able to swiftly sign another whilst we continue to negotiate on the one that will go to near end of window. Unless things change of course.

So any ideas on this? Versatile striker, end of transfer window? Since Martial has signed a new contract he has been linked away...

Embolo? Who knows...

I don't understand why we haven't brought any Argentinian gems, Argentina is a hive of potential quality but our coach hasn't seemed to have tapped into any insight.

I find this disappointing to say the least.

It's a risky pursuit, as they don't always adjust well to England. Yeah, it'd be nice to see the sporadic one or two, but that's a brutal transition to expect of a player. Hell, Yedlin came from the US, with much closer culture and climate (Seattle is about as close to the UK as it gets in terms of climate/weather conditions) and with World Cup experience under his belt, but he's also found it a fight to get on his feet.

Some of you won't be happy until you have 24 hr access to a GoPro strapped to Levys cock. So you know exactly what movements he's making each and everyday!

Even then there'd be moaning when he doesn't quite hit the centre of the urinal.

I suppose we would see a lot of movement in the transfer window - of his knees

We are talking about the English Premier League, right?

The success rate in Europe would certainly support that the stronger clubs are doing less well against the other big European leagues, and the gap between them and the rest of the Prem is as big as it ever was. I do think that Prem clubs are adressing that balance this Summer but I think it's a fair point that was being made.

someone interpret this in case its itk
jasper: Everton wNt in the cards of KM. very expensive desl. You then have to convince the player to go there.

He has edited based on autocorrect errors

Everton want too much, way excessive for KM. convincing the player to go there is another thing.

To be fair, it still seems like it could use a bit more editing :)

Embolo's been ruled out by several ITKs (including Jasper IIRC)
