That doesn't mean a thing Dan, considering Pearce prefered Mancienne to Rodwell throughout the tournament.

I would agree.

Stuart Pearce once put David James up front for Man City when the team needed a late goal, rather than the striker he had on the bench.

Which is weird, as I could have sworn I clicked into the ITK discussion thread

Ditto....three pages on where people live; what the weather is like; and if they have seen the team play live Eek

Anyway, back to ITK, i think the worrying part of all the ITK is the comments by Levy about not selling THIS SUMMER. I totally missed that before and less comfortable with the statement now!

Although I agree, I don't think he'll be gagging to sell come January, particularly if we are there or thereabouts. I can't see that by next summer Modric's / Sandro's / Bale's value would fall significantly a year on from now given the length of contracts, and hence why this stance is a risk we can take

And hope all the talk of Levy gunning for a marquee signing is true!!

Welbeck's much better than Wickham in general.

Rodwell had a poor season but has shown promise before. Wickham's just seems to have a good PR guy IMO.

On the money Dan. Never has no much hype been written, about someone who has done so little.

It just means we need to get our act together this summer regarding making the right improvements to the squad and getting off to a reasonable start in the League.

I dont think Levy is sitting there thinking...I'll sell him in January.

I think it basically comes down to them agreeing that Luka is going nowhere now and if he and our new signings try their nuts off and we are not there or there abouts come January and he still feels the same we will sell him but only for good money and ideally abroad.

Personally think we will be above Chelsea come January.

So with all this talk of Falcao following Villas-Boas to Chelsea, does that mean we will pull our finger out and actually do the deal?
Or another Suarez waiting to happen?

Still can't see it happening, just because he wouldn't be able to play in the same team as Torres.

Falcao might be more keen to leave once his manager goes, although Porto will need the money less if they get £15m for AVB.

We are not in for him, Levy has bigger, more established targets in mind. If he pulls them off then he will be a cast iron spurs legend at the end of this window.

I dont think he is also, i think he has done a good job in keeping him and saying, wait to see how we are doing and who we bring in. We have the same ambitions as Modric does, and IMO we play better football and more to what he would want to play than other teams he would go too.

This is where they've picked it up from:

Wolves are set to complete the permanent signing of midfielder Jamie O'Hara from Tottenham within the next 24 hours, Press Association Sport understands.

Ohara done now. The first part of the summer masterplan is complete. Few more knackers to shift to add to the already large kitty.

SSN says its done and the fee is around 5million so they dont think its in the next 24 hours but he has moved now

Hope so, if he succeeds then we are onto great things for the next few years!

Welbeck is two and a half years older than Wickham.
By all means push your prejudices guys but at least do it with a bit of inteligent analysis.
