At least JJ saying Beharino is an 'option' means he is not top of the list.

I really don't know what sort of player people are expecting? He scores every other game, has a fantastic partnership with kane, can play on the left, is 21 and we can afford him.

from the villa end. theVilla heirarchy would much rather a season long loan than an outright purchase. Ade would need a sweetner from somwhere but nothing like a full pay off.

Cheers Trix, that's interesting. What we need now is 'The Journalist' to put in an appearance.

Don't forget he has an exotic surname.

Given your source this is probably the most reliable ITK we have on this subject then...

Surely the sweetner would be that he would get to leave on a bosman at the end of the contract? You would think Ade would be desperate to go somewhere on loan and would only put obstacles in the way of a perm move.

fucking ade pisses me off so bad. seriously cant wait to get rid of him. berahino as a option sounds decent, at least we know if we get desperate we are still getting a potentially good option. i wonder why we arent trying for reus though. i mean if we are willing to splash 20m then why not use it to activate reus's clause. st, amrlc, pace, trickery, finishing, dude is the perfect option.

Shouldn't the sweetener be the possibility of actually playing football?

Levy was offering Ade to clubs on a subsidised loan in January. Since then Ade's situation at the club hasn't changed and given he's got just 12 months left on his deal, Levy will do very well to get much out of Villa. Realistically, a loan with them paying all his wages would be a good deal for all parties.

The only person it doesn't help is Ade. I can't see him accepting a 1 year loan knowing that he risks the chance of becoming clubless. The man loves the green stuff.

Still think Berhino has a chance of being as much trouble as Adebayor. But still better than nothing I guess.
I don't think so.

I can't speak to their personalities because I don't know them, but I don't think personality is the root of these problems. Heck there's plenty of players on this team who like Ade.

The problem is Ade is on very high wages and is holding us ransom to them. Most players would be more than willing to take the pay cut and get on with proper football and I believe Berahino would as well if it didn't work out.

Not to mention Berahino won't be on Ade level wages in the first place so it would heavily reduce the headache anyway.

If he doesn't accept this Villa loan deal, he's stuck at spurs with one year left anyway. If he signs for Villa and has a great season (as we know he can) he will earn a big contract elsewhere. At this moment in time, clubs see nothing but an expensive, ageing trouble maker who has had two compassionate leaves in a year.

Do you honestly think he would come to Spurs?
