Information leaked by Tottenham:

May/June: season ticket renewal time - big times ahead! Massive amounts spent this summer! The dawn of a new age!

July: Eveything is bleak, nothing is happening, the world will end

August: Average transfers made as per the status quo, fans are happy because it is better than what was said in July. Levy is happy because another zero net spend window.

Probably not smart on my part, but I still have a feeling DL has something up his sleeve this window. No way does he go into the new stadium without some sort of statement of intent. Sneaky bald x*nt.

I'll repeat for the 20th time this summer, we had about 40 mil + net spend last year.

You can’t polish a turd, but you can season it

My grandad always used to say ‘you can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter!’

I’m not smart either then cos I agree with you, and the one player that Levy would reign supreme on bringing back?? Well, we all know.

The ITK certainly doesn’t sound great, although I’m not surprised, sadly. I’d hoped for more, a lot more, but history tells us we don’t always get what we want. I can see us still making three signings, a wing/forward, and I think two different types of CM. Probably Grealish and Gomes. Wing forward, I’m still dreaming.

I guess we just have to sit back and wait, obviously we have a great squad, and certain players will be stronger this year, so only really a couple of areas need someone new..

I’m more worried as to how Poch will be viewing all this, it also doesn’t fill our top players with confidence in our ambition..

Let’s pray we pull it out the bag. COYS

At least we won’t ‘do a Leeds’, the grass isn’t greener and we’ve been careful what we wish for.

But seriously, I’m still going to wait until the window closes before I start on Levy and the BSoDL. He might still surprise you.

if this window doesn't end up ok I'll no longer be a BSoDL, to avoid the wrath of an angry A&C. holding breath that the earlier ITK saying that this season is his legacy does finish with some surprises. roll on Mon-Wed even if it's the final Mon-Wed of the window:whistle:

People are looking for some evidence of progression whilst all those around us are strengthening. If we are happy standing still we will end up like arsenal. We have an incredible manager who has publically stated he needs us to back him in the transfer market and clearly we havnt done that yet, so yeh potentially it is a disaster cos if he leaves next summer we are buggered.

And the stadium isn't that?

Keeping players who are improving year on year?

Plenty of evidence

I do enjoy how it's completely Levy's fault that people don't wanna buy our unwanted players and totally Levy's fault that the premier league clubs collectively agreed to move the transfer window closing forward and as a result left us with a weakening our position. Love that is 100% Levy's fault.

Going off of the ITK we're in a bit of an odd situation but one I'm not yet pessimistic over. We have the money by all accounts. We have the players who want to come in by all accounts. We've been told they'll be late so in that sense nothing has changed so we're still doing as planned.

What hasn't gone as planned is our outgoings. We thought we could do well here but it hasn't worked out. Some of it out of our control, I mean you have to feel if Belgium had been knocked out of the world cup sooner there'd be more news and movement on Toby and Dembele. As for the others, we thought we could shift our fringe players easier and seemingly we were wrong... it happens and now as we get to the end of the window we'll have to take the risks seemingly.

Levy may not be perfect but the idea that he's so out of touch with the market and football nowadays is a little bit ridiculous. He's trying to do what's best for the club and seeing where we are at the moment whilst a lot is down to Poch a lot is also down to Levy so he's earned my trust.

Looking at all the ITK, even just today's, having Grealish in soon will be great and does seem like we'll get a couple others in too which is what we wanted. Just not gone as smoothly as planned but that's just life.

Bloody hell guys.... you do actually understand that transfer windows are, in the main, fluid constantly evolving animals dont you? Every single transfer involves and requires agreement from at least 6 people (both chairman, both managers, player and agents).... add to that how many transfers are reliant on selling club getting a replacement and buying club selling a replacee.... think about all that and then just accept its gonna have highs and lows and chill the fuck out.... you are hearing snippets and parts of the story so you and i are not in any position to either criticise or herald the clubs current situation.... when its all played out then you can express your elation/dissappointment.

Until then suck it up cupcakes

Do people really buy season tickets based on transfer rumours?

Exactly...if Levy was such a good businessman he would have know this as we struggle to shift the deadwood every year! So why did he give Poch assurances over signings?! Played Poch it seems...we’ve seen how Poch reacts when players BS him so what does he do when his employer fills him with shit!

If tantrums like this are based on what Hercules has said today, why are people also ignoring the part where Hercules writes "I am told that regardless, we will complete 3 signings in the key areas earmarked from the onset.". That sounds to me like incomings are still that, incoming. It's one thing to believe one ITK whilst applying salt to another but it's stretching it to cherry pick one part of an info dump whilst ignoring the rest.

I have a bad feeling about this...

I don't necessarily disagree, but given where we are in the window, <3 weeks to go, this reeks of overpaying for a desperation signing - ala Sissoko.

I suspect the reasons are not based on potential incomings, but rather on the quality of the incomings.

At the start of the summer, everything was pointing towards a big transfer window. Now, it seems we have put ourselves in a corner, and trying to salvage anything.

I am ever the optimist, but reality is stomping me around like Coco stomping Fabregas.

Exactly, all very well bringing in 3 signings...but if those signings are along the lines of Grealish, Andre Gomes and Joshua King as a deadline day panic buy when we can't get Zaha....

Pretty sure Herc’s got shares in a razor blade business and just wanted to boost the profits. #wristslitters

Yeah ok but, we won't know any different until it happens. We're still being told players are coming in, so why are people losing their shit when we don't know who they are yet?
