Maybe the loan only runs until January, but we have an agreement that the loan will continue until June unless we want him back?

Is that a bit of a loophole?

We loaned O'Hara to Pompey for 6 months. Came back and we returned him to Pompey

Hudd's twitter utterings suggest he has been informed that he is not in the plans. Van Piss was out for longer periods but the goons did not think it necessary to loan him out for fitness reasons. If you go through proper training you will get your fitness back. As for match sharpness we can always put him in the u21 team to gain it. He is not a youngster that needs loan for experience.

And you get a few mistakes from pretty well every player in every damn team in every game.

Leave Benny alone.
I was replying to a post which said that you ALWAYS get a few mistakes from him. I was pointing out that it was only SOMETIMES. I love him as a player.
I expect a full- blown grovelling apology, and perhaps a case of champagne.

doesnt mean they will be named in the squad if they stay and they are over 21 though. I expect those 3 will be loaned out though

It actually does. If we end up signing no one else and sell/loan no one else after Dawson and Thud leave then we will have 26 players over 21. The 25 man squad rule states that if you have 25 player or more then you have to name 25, you can't leave players out unless they are the extra player past the 25th.

In our case if the no more selling/signing scenario happens then Obika, Falque and Button would count as part of our over 21s and 2 of them would need to be named in the squad. Yes if we loan them out this would be different, but if they aren't then they will be in the squad. The same happened last season, I said Ben Alnwick would need to be named in the squad if we only had 25 or less players and people on here said no he wouldn't need to be and that he wouldn't be. The day of the squad registration he was there on the list.

However you are probably right, Obika, Button and Falque I would assume would be loaned out so there is no need to carry this on.

Because this isn't 2006? ;)

Bit harsh! He had a pretty good season last term at Atletico and prior to his move to Juve in 2009 he was mustard. Played a major role in A.Madrid's Europa League success. Available.

Given we don't pay big transfer fees I thought Levy would be all over him.

The Hudd's recall in Jan clause is clearly there so we can sell him in the Jan window if we are getting interest then. At 25 we wouldn't be loaning him if we planned to keep him. He'd have to show something for Stoke over the next few months to make AVB change his mind for him to get back into the plans.

I like the Hudd but this seems to me what's happening.

Hudd is not as far up our pecking order as RVP was at the goons. Huddlestone is out to prove that he's worth keeping.

If we just wanted to sell him, I'm sure there would be suitors now. The fact that it's a loan only shows that AVB isn't writing him off yet, just can't give him the game time to get the match sharpness he needs.

Surprised thudd going to stoke on loan, hardly a footballing team....he will be like a young chick looking up for food as he watches the ball continuously pass over his head high in the air ...Brian clough would turn in his grave watchin that lot.

sorry comparing a good squad player to RVP? if modric was out for long periods he'd walk in as did King. Hud is not the same player, he needs match sharpeness.. he also need to play fucking really well and its taht aspect AVb, levy and spurs fans will be interested in seeing. He'd not get that playing as an over age player in the u21 PL. the fact its a loan does give hope he might still be a spurs player.

perhaps they were the only ones? more likely is the hrdwork thier CM have to do under Pulis becasue they don't have the ball that much. He'll have to close and work hard to even get the opportniutes to ping 55yrd glory balls.

Why? Everything points to it being a loan for him to regain his fitness and match sharpness. Don't think this has anything to do with getting him out of the club.
Absolutely spot on Nic. He simply isn't fit and needs to play alot more to get sharper and to get his ankle right. This wouldn't happen currently with us.
Not looking to sell at the moment.
