I personally hope that particular ITK is correct and we maintain our relationship with UA. We are a great match, the brash new comers, rising powers challenging the established super powers. Look at UAs stable of endorsee's - Cam Newton, Steph Curry, Jordan Spieth, Tom Brady, Michael Phelps - that's elite company to be associated with

You just confirmed why we need to switch to anyone else, even Dunlop have a higher profile than UA.

I'm certainly not the world's greatest businessman but I find it hard to believe that Nike would reneg on a deal with Spurs simply because they wanted to "focus on Chelsea". In fact it sounds like the kind of business sense that would quickly see you go bust as a sports retailer and frankly, Nike seem a bit smarter than that. Nike are actively looking to increase their coverage in world football, as right now it's not as big as you might think. Adding Spurs to that list can only be good for them.

So for the sake of 1 piece of ITK, which has since been called into question by another piece of ITK, I'm gonna choose to believe that the Nike deal will still happen and I'm happy about it too.

Plus, UA have pretty much downed tools when it comes to promoting Spurs as a club via social media etc, which I personally think is pretty bogus of them. It would just be weird if they had to crank it back up again. So that suggests to me that they are well aware of their soon to be ending relationship with us.

They'll start promoting Southampton (and Villa to a lesser degree if that deal went through) at the end of the month.

They got very good coverage from the season we had and they didn't 'say' much, that's telling IMO.

Looking online quickly - Nike's annual revenue is around $30bn at the moment, UA's is around $5bn...

Maybe UA will come back and make us a good offer, but I doubt it will be close to the £35m (with CL) we were rumoured to be closing with Nike.

Addidas is only around $20m though - Nike is a massive giant AND don't forget heavily invested in lots of other sports such as NFL, Golf, Basketball and Tennis.

Also Nike sponsor a huge number of individual players and that costs them a tonne of money too.

So whilst Nike have 6 x the revenue of UA, i wil guarantee that their sponsorship spend is far more than 6 x that of UA.

To put some further context to this, Arsenal signed a £30m a year deal with Puma 3 years ago (so under current market value) and Puma's annual revenue for 2015 was near enough the same as UA.

Plus UA are experiencing some serious growth right now with their share price looking really strong. Companies in those types of positions are typically likely to sign up to bigger deals than usual if they feel the exposure works for them.
