Trix has said this in another thread:

I don't know if that means two strikers or a striker and maybe a wing forward, but interesting nonetheless.
appreciate copying trix' info from other threads here, as some of us are too busy scouring other forums to read every thread on sc

Trix posted this on the batshuayi thread today (apologies if already posted)

"Well fwiw, my understanding is this is a long way down the line and that it is expected to happen sooner rather than later. Obviously the cup final and International friendlies have got in the way a bit, but that is hardly anyone's fault.

That said, and I have said it before, we have been closer than this in the past and it's still gone tits up."

So, I assume from this and Trix's other comment about more than forward, that it will be Batshuayi plus one other. As he will cost 25/30m, the other striker will most probably be cheaper young alternative like Dembele or a wide forward.

I guess that's a good thing, even if it doesn't leave me swimming with confidence.

Hugo Lloris will undergo surgery on his sweat glands this off season in order to avoid messing up his perfectly coiffured jet black hair with beads of sweat on the odd occasion he has to arise off his deck chair and make a save.

I love him including his hair but perhaps he shouldn't have got his deck chair out from half time against west brom. He certainly appeared to be stuck to it at St James Park.

A more general observation. Surely if we do manage to land a cf and another am this window then that would certainly signal chadli is off, and that we might be shedding another one from son, Njie, Pritchard, Onomah. Unless we better start worrying more about Eriksen or Lamelas contract situations? Or Poch intends to deploy Alli deeper more frequently from next season. We have at least eight players competing for three shirts as it stands, why make it nine??? Intriguing or worrying.

Simply not true at all. Money may well be an important factor in all transfer decisions but it is far from the only one.

Cl qualification?
Prospect of honours?
Training ground?
Coach?
London?

Check.

Wembley next two seasons, then one of the best going up as our new home...

Well, in this context, the only thing apart from not paying the going rate that could block such aspirations is the emergence of a serious competitor, three in Spain, one in Italy, two in Germany and five in England, oh and one in his homeland.

Unless he's not for sale at any price, not many would trust Aulas on that especially their own fans. Doubt West Ham would have made such a public sniff if they hadn't been encouraged in some way. Perhaps his wife won't leave France or some such shite.

West Hams bids were broadcast in such a way that I half suspect them of being just PR stunts to show "ambition". A bidding process rarely occurs like it does on FIFA or Football Manager.
