Can't imagine anybody in the Prem would be interested in Adebayor given his wage demands coupled with his very sub standard season. I mean he was excellent against Chelsea and finished the season well but one great game and a handful of decent ones isn't going to being grabbing the attention of most - and he's not getting any younger.

If there is interest in him overseas and they make a reasonable offer I can't see Levy turning it down in all honesty.

If we do decide to get rid of Ade I can see him heading to Turkey or somewhere....
where ever he goes he's bound to start off on fire and have a successful first season - which will lead to many Spurs fans saying we were fools for selling, but then his second season will probably be far less successful

Wages may well be a sticking point, but the amount we paid is largely irrelevant. He is worth what teams will pay - the market rate

Fair enough. We could capitalise on clubs like Monaco who have got a bit of money kicking around and want to just make signings to show some sort of intent of challenging bigger clubs.

the type of player Ade is (or should be) i agree
But has Ade ever done well off the bench? thats my only doubt

Will he be motivated to do well, or just not bother?

It's not a risk worth taking, cash in and bring in something new, fresh and exciting.

Ok i'm not going to go off topic but have you watched Yilmaz in the turkish league? Yes he's not amazing and i'm not sure if i'd want him at Spurs but the guy has scored 90 goals in the last 3 season including 8 goals in the CL last season, so hardly utter shit!

The common perception of the reason for this sub-standard season is that he is a lazy bastard who can only be bothered in his first and contract renewal seasons. He has been excellent in his last few games (and was unplayable at Stamford Bridge) - a period that has apparently coincided with the only time all season that he has been injury-free and fit.

If he goes, he goes; I shan't cry myself to sleep if he is adequately replaced. But if he stays and is fully fit at the start of next season then I think we'll see the Adebayor of 2011-12 all over again.

His good form could also be down to a bonus if we qualified for the Champions League. We all know his main motivation.

I don't think he's been lazy. I think he struggled with injury initially and that compounded his overall effect in the side. particularly in the first third of the season. That being said he was still way below par for a considerable part of the season. He finished very well but we need more consistency despite the injury problems nearer the start of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur hope to demonstrate their ambition remains intact despite a failure to reach next season's Champions League by renewing their efforts to sign the Brazil forward Leandro Damião and seeking to pair him with Valencia's Spain international Roberto Soldado.

The pursuit of both strikers, coupled with the confidence that Gareth Bale will sign new terms to remain at White Hart Lane for at least another season, would satisfy the manager, André Villas-Boas, who has called for the club to "raise the bar again" before next season. They missed out on the top four this time despite amassing an impressive 72 points.

Article also says Hudd, Parker and Ade up for sale and Gallas released. I would love Soldado. The striker I want most and the sole reason I always watch Valencia.

Agree completely. I think he's reasonable as well as we can give Valencia the money they'd be seeking. It would come down to if we would represent enough to Soldado to move on.

Soldado with Bale and another wide-forward type as a front 3 in the 4-3-3 would be a welcomed facelift to our attack. Add PEA into that trio and we might have 55+ goals between the 3.
