Question is why did Chelsea suddenly decide to spend £30m on Willian when they could have done it a week earlier when Anzhi first made the announcement. ****The stuff about ITK’s leaking medicals is nonsense****, as if connected people have to go onto SC website to find out what’s happening. Lazy journos might do that, but not movers and shakers.

The fact is that either Mourinho suddenly decided he needed a sixth very similar type player or Chelsea had another thought.

It’s entirely possible that Willian not joining Spurs will result in Bale not joining Madrid. It’s pure Mourinho for that to be part of his plan (he’s more worried about RM in CL, than Spurs in PL, I’m afraid). This little powerplay potentially screws everybody up; RM won’t sell players to Man U / Arse if they can’t buy Bale. Spurs won’t have the Bale money to strengthen further. As a player Willian’s a big risk at £30m. But as a political manoeuvre it’s, well, quite cute.

Your probably referring to my earlier post. If you had bothered to read it correctly, if indeed it is my post you at on about, I said ITK'S "inadvertently" leaking the medical info. Some of the ITK'S posted about his medical before the press, we are all pretty certain journos scour forums for info, papers have broken stories before maybe just an hour after some ITK update, with wording suspiciously similar. I was saying, and clearly in a joking manner that spurs ITK'S broke the news of Willians medical, which was then lifted from a spurs forum (be it COYS, FTL, SC ETC...) by a newspaper then ran the story which is how Chelsea found out.

You make it sound like I meant JJ called up Chelsea and said "here Jose, Willian has just rocked up at Holly House for a spurs medical, you gonna accept that?"

I do agree with you on Mourinho going for Willian having a knock on effect meaning we pull the plug on the Bale deal. It's a nice thought anyway!

So we miss out on Willian, that doesn't worry me, what angers me is Mourinhos comments, but then if he has no class, that's his problem. What we have to remember is Willian will have to face, Dembele, Sandro, Capoue( who looks fucking awesome ) Paulinho, Sandro, Vertonghen and Kaboul. If we add to that and I trust AVB will, then we will be stronger than I have seen us in years, Lets not forget how many flair players can go missing when the going gets tough and I think many managers will be looking at us and worrying just how they are going to deal with the sheer power our spine has.

We are in a good place Bale or not, some minor tweaks and we are going to be a force to be reckoned with. COYS!!!

Maybe he's made up his mind and wants to goto Chelsea, but legally he is a Spurs player as the paperwork has gone through, hence the 'He's still making up his mind' stance being thrown out?

Are you ITK or just spouting blind faith?

I know I know :)
Does seem weird that more hasn't come through from Willians side the way Mourinho was confident in his press conference.
He'll probably turn up at Utd now.

Willian the ultimate transfer troll

FFS the Willian deal was not Levy f****** about, it was going to be another AVB present he wouldn't risk losing him by penny pinching or any other reason some dim wits on here can come up with. AVB wanted him last summer we couldn't do it then he came on the market and Levy agreed the price very quickly he can't be held responsible for Willian having a C*** of an agent.

Sorry mate, its blind faith. Just going on the basis that he's still making his mind up, yet Mourinho said he's already made his mind up. There was also ITK earlier that paperwork had already gone through?

So, sorry dude, just my opinion putting 2+2 and ending up with 5

Just waded through 70 something pages of depressing Willian crap only to be faced with the prospect of Damiao being liked again!

To coin a phrase from Top Gear.....

Is there still no chance of him joining us? Its being reported that he's still considering his option.

Yes I did put Sandro twice, you can take it as I think he is twice the man Willian is or put it down to the Sauvignon Blanc, either way I stand by it!!

I'm still so sad, out of all the players we have been genuinely linked with since Soldado, Willian was the one I was most excited about having seen him play a few times. I know many disagree with that. And purely because he has gone to a rival and acted like a tit, I'm not too proud to say I am gutted we missed out on him and that he is a fantastic talent that would have provided the perfect balance to our team.
