What amazes me is how footballers are the sheep and agents are the shepherd. Footballers seem unable to think for themselves these days.

FFS the Willian deal was not Levy f****** about, it was going to be another AVB present he wouldn't risk losing him by penny pinching or any other reason some dim wits on here can come up with. AVB wanted him last summer we couldn't do it then he came on the market and Levy agreed the price very quickly he can't be held responsible for Willian having a C*** of an agent.
Yeah right. A likely story! No, no. An elaborate conspiracy theory whereby DL does everything in his power to make it seem like he wants to sign a player, going so far as to spend not an inconsiderable amount of money making arrangements and paying all kinds of fees, completely pulled out of the arse of some randoms on an internet forum is far likelier.

We will not get leandro for the same reason that we didn't get him last time and the same reason napoli and soton didn't get him.

One of his owners doesn't want to sell till after the world cup because he thinks his value will go up.

Sorry mate, its blind faith. Just going on the basis that he's still making his mind up, yet Mourinho said he's already made his mind up. There was also ITK earlier that paperwork had already gone through?

So, sorry dude, just my opinion putting 2+2 and ending up with 5

No worries. I am not a fan of William so I'm not fazed. Now Lamela I really like!

I think that the paperwork thing is a fairy tale. I wouldn't bet anything on getting William. And this is still the best possible thing for us, we get Lamela who is a better prospect than Bale was at his age, Chelsea are front loaded and are looking to get rid of Mikel so will be soft centred, and both Man Utd & Chelsea will be fighting in the press all next week.

Tbh that's clear to any person of normal intelligence, I'm no massive levy fan and have been very critical of the last 2 big fuck ups (mouts, damiao) but I can't see whst more we could have done this time

Clarke Carlisle never had an agent.

He just stayed where he was and clubs moved around him.

I'd have been a lot more pissed if we had lost Lamela instead of Willian to be quite honest.

Lamela is a replacement for Bale, while Willian is that unique creative spark drifting behind Soldado that would have taken us on the next level.

Really?

95% of professional footballers are pampered, egotistical man-children that have no concept of anything relating to the real world and are indeed shepherded around by agents who are 'acting in their interests' whilst hoovering up a tasty percentage.

The footballer that can think for himself is a rare commodity and always has been.

I'm genuinely over Willian now

Sitting in my garden with a decent bottle of Bordeaux on the go. Going to bathe the baby, enjoy some hors d'oeuvres and then get stuck in to moules-frites for dinner. Then I'll climb on the wife before watching a movie in bed in a post coital inebriated stupor

Oh, this has nothing to do with the transfer window, just my life >>>>>> your life

It's the way the industry works these days, big money attracts agents and all sorts of other parasitic hangers on. Unless you're a genuine superstar you don't get to dictate your career progression.

Hmm... can of Fosters, a 24 pack of Walkers and sitting with my daughter watching Scooby Doo doesn't compare.
The missus has gone out though, so I reckon i'm up there. ;)

Right, but does your wife know you had a thing for Willian?

My worry is that I have seen the Scum and the Bindippers linked with Lamela, albeit in the papers. How do we make sure this doesn't happen again? Top quality AM aren't growing on trees this year it seems....

Yeah, as much as I want Willian, and think how good he is and could be the missing piece in our team. How he and his agent have been the last 24 hours, has hurt and think deep down we're better off without that kind of drama.

Lamela will be awesome and has to happen, and would be more upset if we missed out on him. I don't even want to contemplate it not happening and what mine and others reactions and mind sets will be :)

Think we'll be alright though if we can get through this window with the signings we have already made, with added Coentrau, Lamela, Chiriches, Damiao (If 1 of Ade or Defoe goes) and someone else in mind to replace use missing out on Willian.

I'm sure the thought of sexual congress with you two thrills your wives to their very core.
