I can't see this ending well with us in regard to Willian. If it comes down to wages there will only be one winner when it comes down to us or the Chavs.

Pretty certain it's just Kia stirring it up. He has certainly not got nothing to do with this. The fact that SSN sources broke the story is suspect, how would they get knowledge at such a time in the transfer - Kia has courted them the whole time.

Potl usually comes online in the morning. If anything has drastically changed since he posted yesterday then I suspect he will tell us.

Potl usually stays silent if there is bad news. Can't remember him ever reporting bad news - the last thing he said about Bale before yesterday was that a new contract was being negotiated and when it became obvious that the shit was hitting the fan he stayed completely silent. Idk why I think he just feels uncomfortable reporting bad news haha.

If all the paperwork got sent off, Chelsea could believe they have completed a deal only to find out that his registration has already gone though which would be utterly hilarious.

More likely is that, Chelsea have a put a bid in just as we were sending the paperwork off and Anzhi have backed out to try and get more money. I'm sure this whole thing will drag on a little, but I really wish we could have got this done earlier.

If the paperwork was sent, presumably this includes Anzhi's agreement to the sale, so wouldn't that make it a bit difficult to back out. Not sure how these things work though.

Long time lurker, first time post. I'm of the opinion that if someone can't make up their mind whether they want to play for us or not, then politely go and play for someone else (F/off). I am only interested in players who want to come or stay because we are Spurs.
totally agree, however sometimes you need to over look that theory. A Brazilian player of his age has not really heard much of spurs domination of global football, not much trophies within years, not much money compared to the oil clubs.

so these players need the occasional pampering, bae said; i don't kiss the badge but i am still here. LOL

levy has to fuck up at least one major transfer every window to ensure we dont ever have to go through the hell of a champions league campaign again

got it out of the way early at least.

I know this is said in jest, but I think people should realises that transfers are much like the stock market in that they are highly fluent and can take unexpected turns at any moment. This window the business we have done is laudable, but we will never be 100% successful.

Let's hope we can get more positive news on the Willian and Lamela fronts today.

The bit about JM wanting him as another option is a complete joke to be honest. There is no doubt in my mind they are worried about us, and this is much about denying us as it is about strengthening them.

Moses is irrelevant really. Unless they're selling Mata they flat out just do not need him.

Football really is a sad state of affairs these days.

Willian wants to go to the World Cup, if he's smart he'll realise that he'll have a better chnce of doing that if he signs for Spurs.

Especially if he strikes up a good understanding with Sandro and Paulinho.

Can we report chelsea along with real for tapping up? Or is this more like buying a house and some shit runs in with a cash offer while your driving to sign
Think it's more like the estate agent texting all of the other buyers in the area with the full details of your offer while sitting in the room with you and the contract, smiling warmly at you as he does it.

Depends how the paperwork was sent, if my mail / courier / email then might be ok - if it was using our infamous fax machine, then we are in trouble....

Surely Willian has chased the money long enough. With us he has a chance to be one of the main men in a World Cup year in his home nation, what more incentive does he need. Also he surely can see Chelsea dont truly want him as they would of bid a week a go this reeks of trying to spite us. Does he want to be used as a pawn in some mind games? Lets hope AVB can have a word

The reality of the situation is that Chelsea, and every other club, have the right to move for whoever they want. If those players are willing to go there, that is their decision as they have to live with the consequences.

In my personal opinion, a move to Chelsea would be an awful idea for Willian as he will struggle to get game time when he will be rotated with Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Mata, etc. but if that is his prerogative, there is not much we can do other than move on.

I still think there are more twists left in this transfer though, so lets wait and see what happens. For all we know he could end up on the OS in a hour.

Indeed I would say SSN Sources in this case are Kia.

Just hope the Journo is right that it might be to late for Chelsea.

For the longer this rumbles on I can only see one winner.

I'd think there are three clubs where that argument is relevant:
Spurs - playing with Sandro and Paulinho to create an understanding
Barcelona - playing with Neymar and Alves

And

Chelsea - playing with Oscar...
