It was always going to be mentioned given the links to us, even if strictly shouldn't be mentioned in here. If you really want to avoid seeing a result before watching it - its probably best to avoid a football forum no matter the thread.

This result could have immediate implications for us so I'm not surprised its been mentioned.

I wouldn't mind Sigurdsson. Whether he's the best replacement for Modric that we could attain I'm not sure but he would add some directiveness and goals to our central midfield, something we severely lack with a midfield of Modric/Parker/Sandro.

A player like him would probably have been very useful for us in those games last season that we dominated possession wise but failed to do enough to score/win.

Disagree...

This is the Daily ITK Discussion thread, what part of the France Spain game is daily ITK???

People may want to come and check up on Spurs ITK and check on the game later

In part because there has been a great deal of speculation around ITK that other people than AVB are being looked at. Blanc is clearly one of these and has been mentioned numerous times over the last week. We all expect that IF it is him we might speak over the next few days. These days to watch a game you have recorded you have to avoid all media and communication completely. The number of times i've been texted...

Well, you know, after Bale.
Yes but he's a winger. You know very well what I meant, Spur. I shall be talking to your parents about your attitude. After Rafa, we have the likes of Modric, Scotty, Sandro and Livermore. Yeesh.

Bale's a winger? thought he was a central midfielder after the second half of last season. My mistake braaaa.

The bit where the manager of one of the teams involved has been linked to THFC.

No I think that should be in Manager Chat then...there has been no ITK today about Blanc.

Everyone just thinks this thread is a general daily chat thread, which is why HappySpur was making his point. I can personally see why people are getting confused though

I don't even give a shit tbh. I wasn't even talking about the bastard foreigners. Do, don't whatever. I'm still totally on board with signing Sigurdsson if he is the guy in the cryptic.

"The pot calling the kettle black" is an old phrase which dates from a time when the word kettle just meant pan, as did pot colloquially.
The point being the "pot" and the "kettle" are not just the same colour, but are, in fact, the same thing.

Where's the pedantry smiley?

A lot of links with Siggurdson going back to Reading on the gospel that is Twitter but I wouldn't be amazed if that happens given his history with them. Still think he'll come to Liverpool based on what Duncan Jenkins and Ben Smith are saying though.
