Nope but Ronaldo is having his spray tan done before his medical later todaybeen away for 5 mins have we signed Messi yet?
. Sure, he's not Modric but he's done a fuckton more in the prem at 21 than Modric ever has. .
I rate Joe Allen highly. Good footballer. So, the Goons have bid for him? That would be gutting.
Was tongue in cheek but factually correct. Gwan, disprove it. I dare you. I double dare you!
Oh yeah, and has should be had in that sentence. Sorry for the confusion. I sux cox.
This fickle lingo of ours. Just one little letter and it's all Pete Tong. The had to has change makes a lot of difference!
Busy little CM. Good passer, composed, still very young. £8m-£10m I guess? Although he is prem proven (albeit just a season) so there'll likely be a bit of a premium added. How much would you say Joe Allen is worth?
As I said, it was tongue in cheek. Something to consider though. He has been very impressive and is 18 months younger than Modric was when he first played in the prem. That's not to say Allen is as good as Modric is - he plainly isn't. But in another 18 months, in the right team he might have imporved considerably. And even then Modric has come on these last 3or 4 yrs further still. It is fucking hard proving your worth in the Premiership when you're not in it.
Emile Heskey has done a fuckload more than Lionel Messi, Pele and Maradona in the Prem, come to think of it.

Still, we'd need to sell Modric first before we even started thinking of his replacement. It's going to be hard whenever it happens but I'm not convinced the only way to replace Modric is with a like player. A tweek of the system and we could be almost, if not as strong as we are with him in the team. Just changes the focus and style of the team a smidge, imo.

It's not utterly outrageous to think that in 5 yrs time Joe Allen at 26 could be mentioned in the same breath as Modric now in terms of talent. Course, he could be shit also.
