Joe cole for two years till ryan mason takes over would be good
Just give the job to Mason now then. Better to vet youth than to shell out a fortune (mostly in wages) on a turd

Joe Cole as an impact player from the bench would be ok. But is he gonna want that> Can you see our dear Daniel sanctioning high wages for him, not really.
Apparently personal terms are agreed with Cole. The stumbling block appears to be the fact of guaranteed first team football, which we won't/can't offer.
I love that block :wink:Apparently personal terms are agreed with Cole. The stumbling block appears to be the fact of guaranteed first team football, which we won't/can't offer.
Shanks not knocking, you're passing this on in good faith....but that info sounds ridiculous.
Joe Cole, and Taraabt coming back - my God, not in a million years.
You sure this guy isn't on a massive wind up?
Just to make it clear I have appreciated reading your info this morning and not criticisng you for passing it on in anyway just seriously doubt what you're source is saying.
I wonder what this thread was like this time last year when we were heavily linked with Joe Cole?!
Make no doubts about it, he had a right stinker of a season with Liverpool which was primarily down to fitness, loss of form and lack of opportunities but he IS a talented player no doubt and has the experience of actually winning things with Chelsea.
I'm not particularly advocating his transfer but like I said before, if it is to take Kranjcar's place in the 25 man squad and is prepared to take a wage cut then he could yet prove one of the shrewdest signings we could possibly make - I believe he is 30 so still a good few years at the top if Harry can rejuvenate the old Joe Cole again.
Any danger of POTL saying something about all this?
Ha ha, don't fret dude.
Firstly, the Taarabt is simply a rumour thats going around the club at the moment, nothing more, nothing less.
These lads could well be on a wind up, but they are players and know whats going on, I have no reason to believe they are on a wind up at all.
I'm off to Marbella with one of the 'contacts' next weekend, and he wouldn't want me doing anything to him whilst there mwahahahah if he is winding me up.
Forlan at Spurs today.
Personal terms agreed with Cole - no more, or less than that.
In talks with Samba.
Keane, Crouch, Jenas, Wilson off.
Walker, Caulker and Naughton given a chance for first team football this season.
Adel simply a rumour.
I know how ITK works dude, none of these could come off, and we could be sat with the exact same squad come September. But this is what is going on today, and being discussed amongst those around currently.
I find it hard to believe we've made contact with Taarabt.... Surely his phone would be engaged all the time, what with Barca, Real Madrid, Valencia, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all after him
