Isn’t it normally this time of the transfer window ITK starts to leak out that we after so & so player then slowly as deadline day gets closure and closure the ITK becomes more negative and by 23-59 on deadline day the usual ITK that we tried for so and so but deal was too difficult to do comes out.
This.

Ajax were not going to sell ether De Ligt or De Jong last summer. They made a decision not to sell their best players this year and get back to winning ways. Ziyech also decided to stay one more season. No amount of money from anyone was going to prise them away. They invested heavily in the market (for Ajax). I don't blame Levy for that miss. Anyway, Rabiot and Isco would more then make up for it.

Read everywhere - de jong turned us down last summer

Not from every ITK there's usually one to dampen our excitement, this seems different.

We aren't signing Rabiot, we aren't signing Isco. The sooner we accept it the easier it is. Best bet is Clarke at leeds. Fits our profile

It’s your prerogative to feel negative but we sign players like Clarke less often than we sign established players like Lucas.

So explain your theory of Our Profile please.

Especially in the summer in the last week or so when the mood was much more subdued. This feels it has more potential but I’m keeping my expectations low to avoid the shitflurry I fell into at the end of the last window

Our profile is either up and coming youngsters or out of favour established players. Rabiot is neither.

So if Rabiot were to join us, can we now start referring to PSG as our feeder club? ?

As for the mystery Real player... Most likely would be Isco, as we have expressed interest before and he's been on the peripheral of their starting XI this season.

Sadly it could also indicate Eriksen trotting off in the other direction.

Thanks for the deluge of ITK today, ITKers!

Eriksen is on his way

Unfortunately we’ve been here before. Real want a player (Modric, Bale, Eriksen). Spurs reported to get some favour (special relationship, loans that don’t transpire, Isco).

Nothing happens. Other than Real (sometimes eventually) get their man.

What seems to be the usual MO for us is to be really positive at the start of the window only for the pessimism to set in at the end. This window it seems that it is the reverse, all doom and gloom initially and only today(?) it seems that we have a chance of one or two, depending on the outs although it may not have been phrased quite like that!

If we miss out on key targets because we simply can’t shift the deadwood then at least one person, possibly more, in the employment of THFC is a fucking clown of ring-a-ding proportions
