Fully expected to see this as a transition season so I'm not too bothered about that. Wasn't expecting the possibility of so many outs in this window in particular though, due to how short the turnaround is.

Agree with the uncertainty of so many outs though if it doesn't happen now we will be stuck for another 12 months. In addition we have had several ITK about Levy mot being in control of negotiations which is the key factor for being optimistic.

Because with a new coaching team and a number of new players it would be reasonable to accept a mediocre league position whilst they settle in and figure things out. And then you’d hope the trajectory would be upwards. Whereas our current lot are in decline and would see us slip further down the table without a squad overhaul
Absolutely not! The statement is that he'd be happy with exactly the same league position, minus the players.

So why bother getting rid of said players?

You move them on, to do better & finish higher, surely? Otherwise, we may as well just maintain the status quo of the squad.
