Here we go with our third thread of the summer window.

Harry Winks has a player thread, his time at the club and/or his ability as a player can be evaluated and commented on within the confines of that cosy assassination thread. NOT this one.

As per the Goats bleat- great news if a happy Harry Kane stays.
Let's hope we get everyone else in place before the season starts and we match his ambitions and go on to win something next season

New fresh thread and a bleat from the goat I would expect Harry K to be professional to show Man City he is worth the money and then hopefully we might also get some silver ware ourselves

Unless it’s been edited, I didn’t read anything about him being happy. Just accepting.

Although it’s still good news ( even if it’s just delaying the inevitable for a season).

Yeah it never said he was happy to stay although I can't see him being anything other than professional and giving his all. Just because his agent is totally inept doesn't change the fact that it's Harry Kane ffs. He wants to beat solo records and win with us.

I presume it was his brother that negotiated the 6 year contract that has led to Harry being in this situation with is holding all the cards.

I am not against selling Kane, £160m for him would be unbelievable value, but I can see City paying it and like the Goat says he will be here next season.

next season is the last full season before the World Cup in November 2022, Southgate will make many decisions based on form across next season - he will need to be motivated and his usual excellent self or else the press and the pundits will be all over how he shouldn’t be an automatic pick with all the wonderful young talent we have at our disposal. Just look at what happened this summer after his poor Croatia and Scotland games, it was nauseating the negativity towards him. Remaining First pick and England captain i sense is his greatest personal motivation…

I think Kane is way too professional to let it impact his form. If City can't match our value to buy him with 3 years left on his contract, they or someone else might with the value based on 2 years.

Thing is until we say no and hold on to our top player this happens every year. It's not just about the money and how happy Kane is to stay. It's about breaking that cycle, and saying we want to be an elite club, and that means we decide who we sell and who we don't and more importantly when. This is a line coming from those within the club.

I'm fed up with players thinking they can dictate what they do. I'm all for players being able to move on if they aren't happy but put in a transfer request if that's the case. It's easy, and the fans and media know the score.

Spurs official saying ‘decent way to start the weekend’, so seeing Valenciayids latest can we expect that Gollini is just the first to be announced this weekend, if the PR is done, seems odd to wait a few days.
