Reminds me of my stoner wisdom from 25 years ago!
Duuuuude I’ve just had three shots of tequila that’s like 120% alcohol I should be dead... maybe that’s why Poch is so happy.

Back to ITK - if JJ & Trix are both confirming that Poch is happy then so am I.

People are forgetting that we have a very good (and young) squad. There’s no drastic overhaul needed just little tweaks if we can find a special player

Give poch a dof that he can trust and make sure the dof works UNDER poch. Give them the total budget and wages that they can spend. Let them run the transfer dealings side and let them balance the squad. Its essentially poch and dof comes up with a list of players that fits the bill. Then be it 3 cheaper players or 2 more expensive players, let THEM decide.
Isn't that like saying "make sure the bank manager works UNDER the bank teller"?

Poch Happy because he says so? Well then. Interesting, as I do not really agree-opinion.

Better make sure the 3 player promises (he wants!) not cannon fudder, materialises. Before there is a meltdown, I remain optimistic. Getting the players he wants-pessimistic.

Please understand this is MY OPINION!

No offence but what's the point of this type of post. Like you said it's opinion, not info but it'll only take a couple of hours to become gospel and "but Hercules said.." and then the thread gets locked

Thanks Herc.

Fuck me what are the management playing at. Prepared to risk the future of our manager, and key players in order to get players that only benefit the business, not the football club.

What is Poch going to say to the media? He is a professional and a good man - there is no way I see him complaining during a pre-season tour to the media. Like Herc seems to think, however, that doesn't mean he is happy.

There has been some ITK for the past year that it is put up or shut up time for Levy in regards to Poch. Levy got him to sign the extension likely based on promises of investing in players he wanted.

Although Herc clearly stated it's his opinion, he is in a position to have a more informed opinion than any of us. Him being pessimistic about getting Poch's targets in is not good news.

It's Wednesday BTW so if we don't hear something today as Herc was praying for, that's probably not good either.

so when Poch talks and there doesn't seem a panic it's what the club have told him to say, but when he talks about being brave it's from the heart

You think Poch will be happy if we fail to deliver him the players he wants to enable us to properly challenge this season?

Of course he won't.

So conflicted.

I get a really bad feeling about this window, but at the same time keep telling myself that Levy is not stupid to risk everything he's built with Poch by not backing him now.

It's taking us weeks to sign a player from the Championship, I'm hardly confident we can make 1-2 major signings in addition to that with 15 days left and the media hardly having a whiff of anything being remotely close.

Trix says that the club are optimistic of doing good business, but who does 'the club' refer to? In respect to the first team squad, the only person's opinion I really care about is Pochettino's and, like Herc, I'd be very surprised if he was happy with how things are going right now.

Still, we're only 3 signings away from a very good transfer window, so hope is not totally lost. It's very hard to escape the feeling that lessons have most certainly not been learnt though.

My utterly overriding concern is that Poch is properly backed this summer. I may not agree with the players we sign but I don't care as long as Poch gets who he wants.

As it stands right now he is absolutely NOT being backed.

His new contract isn't worth the paper it's printed on if Poch decides he can better fulfil his ambitions elsewhere.

You can then put Kane, Eriksen and Lloris etc who will start looking elsewhere if we don't show we can take the next step because of a lack of ambition in the market.

Whenever I start to feel a bit more optimistic, there is ITK information which brings my optimism crashing back down to earth.

I'm lubed up and ready for disappointment to fuck me.

If this request isn't granted, I can see the club being left behind by our rivals.

We feel the club is operating at an acceptable level and therefore still refuse to grant your request.

I really can't stress enough how important I believe this to be.

You can ask as much as you like, it's not going to do any good.

Of course he won't.

I doubt he will be happy, but what I don't understand is if the players Poch wanted have been put out of our reach, de Ligt, Martial what do you expect us to do? because why will Poch be happy if we purchase players he doesn't really want
