POTL on COYS:

Bacon boys over to the scribes.
He was replying his post of "Pretty much agreed now. Happy days." in the Vertonghen thread so looks like 1) the Vertonghen deal is agreed and being written up, 2) Bacon Boys was just Levy and Eales bringing home the bacon (Vertongen)

Welcome to Tottenham Vertonghen !!!!!

I see that Scott Parker's contract is up in the summer of 2015. He was born in October, 1980 which would make him close to 35 years-old then. Who would you expect to fill the holding midfielder role around that time? The main man I mean. Assuming both are here would that be Parker or Sandro? How about next season?

Parker has done well for the Club. But was such a long contract smart?

I imagine Parker and Sandro fighting for the spot until Scott's too old, with Livermore as back-up.
Know what you mean about Parker's contract, but perhaps he'd make an excellent coach when his time's nearly up? Otherwise we can freeze him out and he's probably driven/professional enough to want to move elsewhere! :sneaky:

I think of it like a corporate structure

Noah was product development and came up with Vertonghen
You were like the VP and signed off on it
And now I'm PR.....getting the word out
:D
I spread the word to Vertonghen's very own personal thread! Don't I get a fancy title?

Lots of people getting excited on COYS at snippets and rumours coming through about a deal for Vertonghen being done (€15m).

Rumours are better than nothing I guess.

I posted this before seeing POTLs update. I'm just going to go along with everyone else and get excited, even though I've never seen him play and had barely heard of him a month ago (y)

I can see any future clubs playing hardball shitting their pants when Levy gets on the plane. He's a stone-cold killer.
