I'd rather Charlie Chaplin at spurs than Jenas.

I'd rather have Adam than Diarra. I'm a huge Charlie Adam fan, I think he's potentially as good as Huddlestone, if not more mobile. Cracking left foot, and only 24! I was shocked when I found that out, he looks about 34.

Actually, now that you mention it, he does look about ten years older than he is!

I just don't rate Diarra as highly as some on here. He's failed to become a key member of 3 CL teams now, and at the prices quoted, I would say he would potentially be viewed as much a transfer failure as VDV was a transfer coup.

A striker is more important, and if it means using that 18 million and adding it to the 20 million (speculation) available for a striker then I would potentially place all my eggs in the one basket right now.

Have to agree, although I'd go with Harry on this, I'm not to bothered about signing Diarra or not, especially not for £18m. Our midfield is not the problem, as we all know its a striker we need. Hope DL & H are spending their time getting a striker signed up anything else thereafter would be a bonus. Now plz finalise the signing of a striker.

At the end of the day, if we got a good bid in, for a player who wants to leave and will only diminish in value as his contact runs down, why not sell him?

Ok our cover maybe isnt as strong as you would have liked, but there is cover.

We're only mentioning him. The estimated amount of posts on the subject surely is insufficient to open up a thread in Spurs Chat. It's not like alots happening in here anyway, we're bound to wander in terms of what we're talking about so I think a pill with the word "chill" on it might be considered for consumation here?? :shrug:

Indeed, seems like a moot point that if we sell him we lose an option as he never plays. It's like selling Keane.

Not much, but we've loaned out Bentley now so if we were to sell off Kranjcar and Giovani aswell, with only Pienaar in I think we'd become a little limited out wide.

With Bale injured we dont seem to have great options out wide from the bench now. Not that Bentley, Gio and Kranjcar have been much use this season. But they were options and I think we need better options to turn games.
