I was banging on about McCarthy before he signed with Wigan, we were (very) tenuously linked with him if I remember...
In other news, word after the ROI match last night is that Robbie is definitely off. Think newly promoted London team looking for experience. Wages and fee are a looong way apart though.

McCarthy is a real talent, but I can't see us having the cash to divert from our budget to pay what Wigan want now they have stayed up. I suspect that perhaps we were looking to get him on the cheap if Wigan got relegated, but I can't see it happening now.

I know you can't trust GG in any way, shape or form but its interesting that two apparently separate sources have said this in the last day or so. Especially since they're not linked (Roger Morgan wouldn't copy rumours off glory-glory!!! and the other guy said it first...)
