I would say that in the case of THFC ‘difficult’ very much translates to ‘impossible’.

One thing is for sure... the media loves having a go at Spurs... sniffing up every opportunity to cause mayhem in the fanbase... I can't think of any UK clubs where there are so many crazy stories and output regarding transfers.

The individual players we're missing out on is not really the issue for me.

The issue is that, as a club, we are creating this perception that we keep identifying targets and then missing out on them. It has happened over and over again. It's gut wrenching for the fans, it's embarrassing and frankly makes us look incompetent.

There are less than 4 days left and whilst I've tried to be positive, whether I cared about the individual players or not, 2 deals blown up in 2 days is a very bad look and it fuels the fire of the ENIC out group. Whether you agree with them or not, it's negativity that we don't need.

All I can hope is that Paratici pulls something out of the bag in these last few days. Supposedly we had a long list of targets so hopefully we can move on to the next one and actually get the deals done.

It's not overly difficult to imagine it coming back to them though? The last thing you would do at the moment if you knew something would be share it; the atmosphere in here is like that stupid game at an arcade I watched someone on TikTok play for about 25 minutes with the balloon filling with air right next to a load of spikes. It's literally at bursting point. They don't want to be the air that sends everyone into burst-ville meltdown.

I get that but the implication i feel is more direct than that, but I do agree with that general point.

I thought I'd have a little look today to see people's reaction to the events last night where we increased our bid to a point of acceptance to see if people could see we are trying to back the manager, yet I see the opposite in now the majority of posts. Can't count the amount
of posts I've read this morning from posters saying "I'll wait until Tuesday before I start moaning" and yet have literally hammered the club/Levy/FP in that very same post. Sometimes paragraph after paragraph, with "I'll reserve judgement until the window shuts" at the end.

Quite honestly imo the transfer section has become a joke, it's basically 5-6 match threads where we are losing rolled into 1.

So forget what I said about Tuesday, I wont be posting any more information in this section until one way or another, this stops. I'll continue to pass on behind the scenes buy to be honest I don't even want anything I hear passed through the Goat right now either. What has started with a few very negative posters constantly posting the same thing in every thread(and never the appropriate thread), has turned into a complete landslide and the vast majority of it belongs elsewhere.

You mean the bigger clubs with more money and more stature than us? Who are playing in the top levels of Europe and winning titles? Yeah... of course they are.

The only slight exceptions are Newcastle and Villa, but Newcastle have bucket loads of money now so can and are throwing money at everything (and even then have had plenty of rejections). Then Villa have got Coutinho (who by all accounts has been SHOCKING for the past few seasons) and even then, without Gerrard at the helm they don't get him.

Not denying that this window has been pretty dire from the looks of things, and we really should strengthen. But we have had generally positive ITK saying business will be done. We have had ITK saying our deadwood are still likely to leave. We have had ITK saying Summer is the important one.

We then also have to be realistic with what the hell 'back Conte' means or even how a transfer works. Like okay, give Conte a big ass cheque book to sign whoever he wants... but what happens when the player doesn't want us or isn't fully committed to us or wants to hear other options? Do we sign bodies just for the sake of it? Is that backing Conte?

If Conte has given us a list of 10 names but those 10 don't want to come to us... then what?

This has been a bad window for us. I'm not ignoring that. But (whilst patterns may suggest it) so many seem to act like it's all our fault. And it probably is... for just not being as big a club as we think we are.

It's all on the club.

These arguments have been going on since levy got here.

We can blame paratici who from whT I've seen looks to be a fraud either some high powered friends but the same debates and arguments were going in before he got here.

It has been a bad window your right, the last one hasn't turned out well either ontop of that utterly shambolic manager search. Since pochs famous or infamous painful rebuild comments the club has stumbled from one disaster to the other.

And you could say getting Conte has been huge and I was more excited than anyone but actually was he totally the wrong man?

As people defending levy at the moment are saying, were losing out to bigger clubs. Well that's fine if were not at super club level yet (and with the stadium and prices we bloody well should be) but yeah if we can't compete don't get a manager who comes to compete. Get a Potter or another project manager.

The club is a mess. On one hand it has the best stadium, great sponsors , has big name managers and the England captain. On the other hand are actual football planning is a mess , we can't compete for the top players but we don't scout well enough to get those just below.

I've seen it all before. Heard all the last chance stuff before , read all the wannabe sensible defences but in truth it's ground hog day with contes added volatility to it.

They have burnt all the good will so when people talk about the summer you must have almost blind faith to think its any different.

We don't get public ITK any more because they're all understandably terrified of the pitchfork baying masses. So no.

ITK`S quiet and dont blame them but they seem confident , i have a feeling were going to pull Vlah out the bag here or a big name if options 3 Traore and option 2 Diaz have been allowed to go elsewere . Fingers and all things crossed JMO

I get that it's a chore but the popularity of the window is so important to the site. It's why you do your donations push now @Rob

If we've learned anything it's that the rules make this place work. If you need a volunteer to clean this thread up, I'm available.

Look around you Trix, this is society now not just a Spurs forum.

It's happening in all spheres at all levels, the grass has been cut and now we are seeing the true nature of people from the top to the bottom.

We are going through an era as life changing as the printing press or industrial revolution.

Understand the position, not sharing is someone's prerogative - especially if they are being attacked based on the content of info shared.

Obviously criticism of the club is a different matter entirely (though not always on topic in here...)

Whilst frustrating, there is realistically not much we can do once the likes of Juve, Barca and Pool muscle in on our targets. Guess question is how to find the right balance between targets which are both ambitious and realistic. So lets hope that Fab has some more irons in the fire that can help us push for 4th.

This thread needs to go back to how it was, bans for people who stray wildly off topic. It will kill the biggest income stream for the site if the ITK is lost.

if you want to moan about Levy/Enic, fack off elsewhere to do so.
