Literally 5/10mins ago. First thing he discusses is Diaz. Thinks the funds will go into DIaz and may hold off Traore deal and go with Emerson/Doc until end of window because of this massive opportunity. He said the club are absolutely fuming this news on Diaz has leaked.
And now news of them fuming about the leak has leaked. They can't keep anything to themselves.

If Porto want to sell they're going to try and get some kind of bidding war going. Seems naive if we're mad about that.

I'd rather Traore over Diaz, he knows the league and can hit the ground running.

If we have the kind of funds that is being touted for Diaz I would of thought it would be better to invest them into a good quality CM

As a stab in the dark, it looks like:

confident on RWB and CM
maybe on WF

We’re quite far along on those as we’re focusing on outs.

Let’s wait and see.

So, Mr. Gold saying the Traore deal has been put on the back burner in preference for Diaz? Would hope we could seal both. Kinda surprised this is the case. Oh well. See where we are EOD Monday.

As for Val… what on earth is he yappin about? ?

He said that he wonders if the Traore deal has slipped down the list now that Diaz looks a possibility. He didnt say it as fact - his whole video was purely opinion.

I love that you’ve actually translated it for the womens institute on here. Fantastic.

I suspect it’s more a case of not having enough money or until we move a couple out as it has been all along. Need to get on with it though don’t we.

If we need to sell to buy a circa £20-25m player then we're in big trouble and Conte won't be here long. If we can't do deals like this then there is no point bringing in Conte.

Whilst monery is obviously involved I stongly suspect it's more a case of not wanting to be in a situation of buying one player before selling the one he's replacing. If the buying club then pulls out at the last minute that would leave us being stuck with the unwanted player and having to pay his wages whilst he not in the squad and therefore not allowed to play!

Gold said he fears one of the big clubs coming in now as Spurs are messing around with the fee.
I mean he didn't say that either did he. He said "my only fear...(with humour) apart from spurs mucking around with the price, would be another club coming in for him...and it's maybe a club in the champions league or something"

The way you have said it sounds like some sort of inside intel from Ali and that spurs are messing about with the price

For anyone that wants to see this part and can't be bothered to watch the whole video, it's about 20:20 in

As long as Conte is happy about the situation and feeling confident about having us ready to fight for glory from the start of next season it’s all good! Progress made now would probably have us finish top4…

Well that's promising, I've come back into this thread and found a dancing Valencia Yid and a cautiously optimistic Trix. That's positively gushing.

Glad someone said this.

Add to the fact Traore seems to be the player Conte REALLY wants.

Personally I hope we get both, but I have definate doubts.

Come on Levy/spurs - would so, SO love to be proven wrong.
