If Levy got 10 million for Jenas it would be genius - we would have to bite their arm for that sort of figure.

If Madrid let Benzema leave you would guess that it would be on a permanent deal as they will need the money to bring in the likes of Llorente

I have to say, I'm a JJ fan but if they really have said "name your price" and we can get anything over what we paid for him (£7m?) we've got to take it. I think I'd ask for £10m and see what their response is. Palacios is actually far more of a box-to-box midfielder than people give him credit for and if JJ's departure also paved the way for Diarra to come in then I think we'll have improved our central midfield options.

Don't forget O'Hara as well...

Not a big fan of O'Hara - think he is more about the effort than the quality.

Also don't think Palacios is an effectice box-to-box as he struggles in the centre circle in possesion (further forward he is happier but then he turns into Steffan Freund and skys a shot into row Z again!).

IF someone like Diara is available then i agree JJ can be moved on - providing we squeeze as much out of Vill aas we possibly can for him, £10m would be a great deal for us if we can bring in Diara for £14-15m.

So not saying he can't go, just that we need to make sure we have the best variety in the squad that we can afford given the 25 man limit.

Modric, Pienaar, Bale, Lennon, Sandro, Diara, Palacios, Kranky and Thudd sounds pretty good - i'd love to stick someone like Young in there too but that wont happen (not this window at least).

With Suarez being a terget that needs to be concluded today

Benzema who has already held talks on Monday night :)

I am hoping for:
Today: Luis Suarez
Thursday: Karim Benzema
Friday: Diego Forlan
:hump:

Fulham can therefore look forward to the new dawn of THFC
GK
Hutton...CB.....CB....Bale
Palacios..Modric
Suarez.....Forlan......VDV
Benzema
Hey why not try to haggle Diarra from RM too.....just to replace Palacios
Although I do love Lennon too- we could have true qaulity in our squad for the run in:beer:

PS I apologise for the team formation- but there is no point discussing possible ins without considering where they fit

[where do we fit Fabiano though ]

I would just like to take a minute to throw a little bit of cold water on all this sizzling hot Benzema talk.

Is Benzema the player we need? He certainly does not fit the role I think we need a striker to play with our current format. would we have to play a different way?

I don't want to burst any bubbles here but surely Benzema is earning 100k plus at Madrid? Our highest earners are on around 60k. We also have a more punative tax rate. Unless it's a) on a loan with heavily subsidised wages or b) Benzema sees the light and accepts half his current salary, I can't see that we've a hope of getting him. We're not going to start paying those kind of wages at least until the new stadium is finished and we have a guranteed extra income.

There was more that would have potentially given away his source. The rest just added credence to what he publicly posted though.

Jenas to Villa....Ireland the other way??? A top player who Redknapp could revitalise?

He is a good player but wouldn't really fit our system and wouldn't start for us. We only have room for 1 creative in the middle and that is Mods, so Ireland isn't likely to want to come and sit on our bench.

Jenas out and add the money for Diarra would be my preference. That would be a serious upgrade for a type of player that we need and at a small price.
