Maybe but Diarra was outplayed by Zokora tonight.

Hardly. Zokora is a decent player, and plays every week for Sevilla, Diarra is in and out for Real. Madrid didn't play that well tonight in general.

Diarra is a better player than Zokora, and would provide the type of tenacity/technique compromise that we can use.

And what you said last night was completely wrong as well. Wenger categorically didn't want to loose Diarra, he said so several times.

You do have to laugh though, Here we are getting excited about possibly Diarra, Benzema and Suarez and low and behold We will probably unveil our 3 massive intent signings, Meet Phil Neville, Scott Parker and Carlton Cole, fabulous stuff, epic dreams, I'll sleep well tonight

Don't you just love the emotional rollercoaster of the transfer window.

Adie said his mate texted him that Parker had handed in a Transfer Request

Thanks DP

Well that's a big pile of manky pants isn't it. Parker isn't a bad player, and I don't give a shit about him rejecting us in the past, but if there was one area that didn't need much improvement it was the midfield.

Hopefully he's just ordering a batch of fake tattoos.

Are they not one and the same?

Not from a legal standpoint. A written, signed request to leave would remove any entitlement to a pay off from them, should the accept a bid. If he has merely 'verbally' asked to leave, i.e. something which can't strictly be proven in a material form, then when they accept a bid he could still have leverage to say 'gimme my money bitch!'.

And you'll have another one to over rate.

Nope, I've already said I don't think he's all that, but I can understand what we see in him.

It's ok BC, we'll all still be laughing when we're marching on to even better things with Huddlestone, Lennon and Dawson all in the first XI and you still criticising them all. We'll all be pointing and laughing.

like I said....

Ah, right. So in other words it activates a contractual term.

But you'd think an informal request amounts to the same thing anyway and simply removing the fact that it is in writing is splitting hairs.

Quite Honestly if all this info is correct then Levy and 'Arry need shooting.

How on earth can you not really know who your main target for a striker is by now, Levy is meant to be a very clever businessman so surely this would go against every thing he stands for.

We have know for ages we need a WC Striker so why is it we don't start doing the dirty work until January?

Fairly sure City had Dzeko all sort long before the window was open and just needed to cross the t's etc

Think our management has been very poor if we are still juggling 4 or 5 strikers around and not closed one deal yet Christ there is now less than 5 days left

No no, he really did. Diarra was bad tonight. You managed to watch both the Real game and the West Ham v. Birmingham game tonight? They were on at the same time.

It wasn't completely wrong BC. He has never been consistent in a side ever. Regardless of whether Wenger wanted to keep him or not, he was being kept out of the side and didn't have the balls to fight for his place. I never once mentioned that Wenger didn't want to keep him, I just questioned Diarra's ability to command a place in a side and consistently perform.

If you are going to call me out on something I said BC at least get it right. I am wrong often so it shouldn't be so hard to do.

One of these days you'll stop being a lemming and learn how to spell 'lose' properly.

One of these days you'll learn what a lemming is.

I bet you £1000, we won't win a championship with Dopey, Doughnut and dimwit in our side at the same time playing 25 full games a each.

Put you money where your mouth is unless your scared of finding out what the word lose means ?
