Surely the player we'd be revisiting is Lemar, given the renewed press links to him today? Although rumours from elsewhere suggesting he may be off to Liverpool for €80m plus Origi, so he can join their legion of similar, pacy players.

Realistically I think we'll end the window with Foyth, Aurier and Barkley, and have a couple of near misses on other targets.

Revisited suggests we've already been there and discussed it.

It could be anything. Palace having refused the original bid expecting us to offer more have called back and said ok you CAN have Christian Benteke but only if you take him today.

That is an example. IMO it's where we've been rebuffed and been sent nvited to bid once again. Period.

Realistically I think foyth and aurier and we are done normally we don't do much on the last day, and if we have to wait until last day then we probably don't deserve to get anything in.

So Herc clicked disagree to posts saying 'hope we are back in for Lemar and Keita.'

Just so people dont do it to themselves. What am I talking about...your all doing it already arent you? We just need a 'I bet its Suso' comment to put the cherry on top.

I'd love to see us sign all these players but you just know it's gonna get to 5 mins before the deadline, we'll have a story about making an enquiry for Lemar (revist) and then nothing will happen.

It could well be the case of us revisiting a potential target that wasn't even in the public domain which is something JJ alluded to beforehand.

Pointless speculating guys - as always let's just see what pans out rather than spouting names.

Yeah I think if that's the case we are gonna have a few moaning and groaning on here come Friday and possibly a meltdown or six.

Good signings as aurier and foyth would be to go with Sanchez. I think we need some attacking signings we are a couple of injuries away from the likes of eriksen, Kane or alli to be looking pretty toothless.

That's the problem with deadline day. For a few years I've gotten the feeling that Sky is latching on to any story because the show has gotten stale. The days of car window interviews are done. We're in the age of social media barber shop transfer news and a deadline day show is a joke.

Either way, you can't separate fact from fiction on deadline day, so if nothing happens today or tomorrow, I'd suggest logging off until Sept 1.

If we are allowed to guess then I'd suggest perhaps we are back in for Zaha, perhaps DL now thinks he is willing to pay £50m having seen how values have exploded. We could put him in the treatment room with Barkley. ;)
