You never accept the first offer, but £38 million and from a club outside the PL (which is crucial) is a very decent offer. Like others have said, you'd hope Levy would try and include Sahin in a deal (as opposed to Diarra or just the money) because then that's his replacement sorted.

We're talking about Daniel Levy here right? I don't think that can be true, he never goes in high...
Bentley was ripping it up at Blackburn at the time, there will have been a fair amount of interest driving the price up.

I would say that 45m plus Kalou is equivalent to approximately 32m in purely cash...

You giant clungenugget. Why would you say that? We haven't even had a "done deal" post yet. You've gotta give every ITK time to rush to a machine and churn out their "no one tried to bring you that sooner"s and so on. That'll be a couple of days at least. My betting is an announcement Friday afternoon just ahead of the press conference for the England game. That way Harry can be in the press and say various flippant and peculiar things to steal headlines from Uncle Roy.

Knowing Levy it'll be some 16 yr old from Borrussia Moenchengladbach. From the sounds of that ITK Levy is spending more this summer than he has during his whole time at the club. I exaggerate of course, but I can't see it. Perhaps its a case of either one or the other in a few instances.

I'd take a 19 year old German penalty saver from Borussia Moenchengladbach in a heart beat.

Clearly I doubt we'll sign all of those players but I do think the signs are there that Levy is willing to spend and that hasn't been affected by no CL.
