Try and find a club that will get anywhere near that.

12m 19 months ago(and no demand other than Spurs) and he has only lost value drastically since then.

His value should not have more than halved since we lost him to Liverpool and he went there for 20m.

Not even Ibra is Klinsmann class imo. I wonder how much he would cost in this day and age. Maybe £50m+. Crazy money that's for sure.

Fabiano is the best we can get in this window. If we can finish top 4 again, then we can maybe get a world class partner for him next summer.

They are the same person dude

I really hope there's some movement soon, I don't think I'll be able to handle deadline day, I drive for a living, I'm bound to crash checking the internet on my phone constantly, i just hope it's worth losing my license:roll:

i do hope thats a joke ...
without wanting to get all serious ..
ive lost count of the amount of car crashes , serious and fatal that ive been to over the years ( im a fireman) caused by ignorant fuckwits texting etc on phones
wont spoil this thread though with the gory details !

by the way ...is anyone else seriously running out of nerves this window ?
theyre always bad ...but this time ..my god its driving my head to a point.

I am now 90% certain that the fabiano deal is a no goer ..
why would Redknap go puplic and insult the Sevilla chairman for his crazy pricing if a deal had already been stuck??
Its all wishful thinking ...possibly a smokescreen for another deal??

When we signed Klinsmann it was the start of the foreign influx in the modern game, post 1994 world cup, it it will never be the same again.

fab is the best we can get now agrred and I agree top 4 this season perhaps we could add a superstar we need prolonged success more of a statement of intent than any signing, sign Fab now get back in Champs league maybe next year Aguero, Jovetic, Pato, Dzeko or the next up and coming superstar

20m that was vastly more than any other club would pay(worth no more than 12m then), just as it was with Ibrahimovic joining Barca.

Age is also a major factor, and Keane hasn't pulled up any daisies since then. Being loaned out to Celtic sends a message that he's on his last legs. All of the clubs with any supposed interest would only be interested at the 5-6m level. Most don't have the funds to go higher, even if they wanted to, and the wages are an even bigger hurdle.

He really isn't on his 'last legs'.

With Defoe slightly injured, and not exactly in form at the end of last season, and without us signing anyone else we'd be very stupid to sell Keane for any price, let alone for a paltry 6m, unless we've replaced him properly.

I think we all get a bit too anxious in the transfer window. It's easy to forget the squad is better now than it was last season when we finished 4th. So it wouldn't be a nightmare if we don't sign anymore players. Certainly not like when we ended up with F.Campbell on loan.

Harry is smart though. By saying Sevilla are asking for crazy money, it puts any potential late comers off (we don't want someone to snatch him from under our noses). It also means that when we do sign him for less than what Harry quoted, it makes Daniel Levy look even better.

This is just typical Daniel Levy negotiating though. But he does it for the best and keeps us financially secure, so we should be happy. Have faith that we'll pull these deals off. All good things come to those who wait

IMO we got a great deal flogging Keane to 'Pool, was never going to reproduce that form, he peaked with us. Should never really have brought him back, I know he played his part, the initial deal was great business, if only we'd replaced him properly......

Someone has updated Fabiano's Wiki page to include amedia quote he allegedly made today that says he is definitely coming to us because the promise of CL football was "too great".

Wind up?

this threads gone mad with the non-happenings

Zlatan???! this guy would only be going from Barca to Man City or Ac Milan, maybe back to Inter. Way out of our pay structure and fee would be astronomical
