That plane landed yet? Surely an ITK was there to help our new signing off the plane with his kit bag.

TBH if we want to get to the so called next level we need to improve the squad, and quickly

hes had a CL outing for Spurs, he set up Pav for the second goal in the 3-2 Young Boys game

also Fletcher is a lot younger than Keane even if he is already bald! Which is why their values are similar

Keane is a good player, but he's not that good for us at the moment.

Same logic last season when we brought in Eidur--he did a job for us without the distraction that, unfortunately, Keane now brings to the team.

But at the moment all he's had is a substitute appearance against young boys, he came on and did well.

Yeah, no question, and he also had a good pre-season. But I think he's run afoul of Harry with some of his antics, and I don't think he's happy to play the role he's (fairly or unfairly) been given, which is behind Defoe in the pecking order. Just my conjectures, but that's how I'm seeing it.

Capo I think you know I mean CL proper. To me CL qualifyers just arent the same - yes they are counted as official CL games. But to me, there not.

If Levy wants a modern day Klinsmann then Ibrahimovic should be that signing. He has that mystique. Fabiano would be great but it's not the same 'take your breath away' transfer, a la Klinsmann 1994.

30m for one of the worlds best strikers? Why the fuck not.

No offense and I love our chairman dearly but fabinano is not a klinsmann. Since the ronaldo got fat there hadn't been a cf in that class and I'd include eto and drogba and Rooney in not being quite that good. Good to knowing levy has that ambition is good news I just don't share his opinion of fabiano.

Fletcher is actually a decent striker, anyone who watched him play for Burnley last season would have seen he was more than capable of playing for a mid-table club, he's definately worth the fee Wolves paid for him.

Keane on the other hand is 30 (Fletcher is 23), his pace has all but evaporated, any club who buys him now knows he will have little or no resale value at all. Add to that his big wages (and ego) and I'd have to say he's now currently worth no more than £5-6 Million.

I think those are unconfirmed reports.

I wouldn't expect any top striker to be happy with that, because they want to play.

Good thinking Batman. Quick, you get Fab's number and I'll drive to Heathrow in stealth mode. Together we can do this.

Or alternatively, we let Levy & Co go about their business as they have been and it will all be hunky dory.

8 goals in 35 appearance doesn't look like anything special to me.

Fabiano is the very pinnacle of the class of striker currently within our reach.

Ibra and Dzeko? Get real people, we don't have that kind of cash and even if we did we wouldn't pay the wages those class of players would demand.

If we get Fabiano Levy will have pulled off a masterstroke, the bloke is top class (just not top, top class )

Yeah, no question. I for one think that even if Defoe is preferred, Keane is very useful to pressure him. Defoe's form seemed to drop when Keane went to Celtic. So maybe he's being mistreated, but it's clear he's not happy, and that he wants to leave (not for the first time).

So all I was saying, to bring it back to the ITK, is that just because Keane isn't fitting into our (Harry's) plans, doesn't mean he might not be very good for someone else. ie, we might be able to sell him for more than he's worth to us.

Didn't say he was special, I said he was more than capable of playing for a mid-table club. His hold up play is very good, has all the attributes required to play up top on his own and will only get better imo.

Yeah not a klinsmann. Why would anyone make that claim?

AdiePF, I think im misunderstanding your latest ITK as no1 else seems to have picked up on it.

But from my understanding of that post, doesnt it suggest your getting 4th hand information, as you said (his source) and then (the source) which suggests, you have a source, that has a source, that has a source.

p.s in typing that I spelt source ..sauce 4 times - this is what SC does to you

I did that yesterday in an e-mail, at work. Just spotted it in time!!
