suárez (v.) to put a positive spin on an act of extreme downsizing: "darling! Great news! I've just suárezed the aston for a wheelbarrow!".

not sure if it has been mentioned, but maybe the delayed decison on the Olympic Stadium has played a part in DL's decision to pay higher wages? Pure conjecture, but maybe the boss man wanted to secure our future stadium, and with that guaranteed, he could splash the cash.

Is it a coincidence that harry has come out with these comments on the day the decision was due or am i smoking out my A*se?

If we cant get the marquee signing in (Hulk would defo be our Tevez equivalent) then i want Levy to splash out on Wickham. Untried, and untested, but he played well against the Scum and we need an alternative to 3MP.

Exactly what I was thinking, on both the OS / apparent change in willingness to spend and Wickham, while trying to digest yesterday's (non)developments. We must be telepathetic! :)

This window and the latest revelations of the internal workings of our club are enough to make me want to turn my back on football for good.
Makes the days of Comolli at the helm of all things transfer related a thing to yearn for.

Christ!!! How did it come to this? Was there any point in achieving CL football if it failed to attract the next level of player? (VdV aside, but that was a fluke)

I'm so gutted and pissed off, I actually don't care if we lose to Fulham on Sunday, or Blackburn the following week for that matter. The only thing that can save this window and my soon to be extinguished life, is if we sign Ricky Lambert.

I was joking about the last bit.

i do not believe we will be signing any strikers in this window. i now believe that ALL the ITK out there were mislead. some past the info in good faith. check all the contrasting info from them. there was a lot of smoke and mirrors. you only have to look at that post from POTL "it is getting interesting" and come saturday nothing has happened. we were after Rossi,Suarez,Benzema,Fabiano,Forlan,Carrol, adebayor.

we have been strung along and i do not believe the spin out there. screw those sheiks at man city who have messed everything up for us. The time has definately come for us to get our own sheik. or get a new stadium and sell bale, modric and vdv as part financing for this stadium and become a mid table team whilst this is going on.

It's a sad day when the likes of DJ Campbell, Ameobi, Ngog, Saha, Welbeck etc are out performing our strikers.

In our hour of need, is a loan move for Hernandez (Man U) out of the question?
