Feel A bit sorry for Freidal if we have signed Lloris, he served us very well last season.

But saying that, I like the fact that we have appeared to get in a quality, young keeper when the chance arose, instead of waiting for Freidal to retire.
How many consecutive games is he currently on? also there is no use for Dan now that Harry has gone, he has no purpose in life anymore?

If true - Lloris will save us more points than he might cost us with his style of play. If he can bring in even 6 more pts over the course of the season then fan-bloody-tastic. 1 pt proved huge last season.

People who aren't exactly in love with this move should remind themselves that the only reason we're in with a shout is because about a dozen other clubs across Europe are set at GK. Otherwise, we don't even get a sniff. Just epic timing for us for once.

From KingFresh on FTL

Button Sold to Charlton
Lloris in, coaching staff are quite unhappy about selling Button. They want one of the first team keepers gone and Button to replace.

Dosn't sound like a Levy style move though, he'd rather hold on to him for the chance of getting a few mill back, or his contract runs down rather than paying off his contract to get rid of him. Plus i guess if he can get over his injuries the lad is an England international (maybe 'ex' now) so it's not as if he's an abomination of a player. For some teams out there he would do a good job if fit and we should be able to get some cash for him from somewhere! *optimistic*

Agree, dear old Jenas definitely won't be going on a free - we extended his contract until 2014 in March, as avid readers of Loan Watch will have enjoyed hearing about:

So therefore (some) money on the table from Sunderland I would hope?

Roll Lloris out this weekend. No time like the present. How's his English? He and Kaboul and Gallas should have no issues communicating at least.

I hope Lloris's distribution is good because to me that is one of the most important ability for a keeper to have.

Dont get me wrong brad is a fantastic keeper but he is slow off the line and is not quick enough to take the initiative to start off a move from the back . He either passes it out to a cb or to walker/ekotto.

Lloris and Dembele.what a day that would be.

tomorrow we can concentrate on winger\playmaker

Thursday Llorente! (dreams)

Gabriele said dreams can come true!!!! one hing though i dont see us getting dembele and moutinho, problem with JM is that if we wait till the end fo the TW then dembele as plan b most likely wudnt happen as there seems to be alot of interest in him, so we nned to bite the bullet for him now or we must be 100% certain JM will happen. We need a playmaker, last 2 games has shown the hole that has been left by modders!

Can someone explain to me why we need this M'vila bloke, a defensive midfielder, when we already have Sandro, Parker and Livermore?
I don't know if anyone has bothered to tell you this but M'Vila is far more than a defnesive midfielder ;)

He's also a man with a big willy.

Shame about Button, I think he should be third choice, maybe second if he can prove himself.

Why the hell we had Brad, carlo and Gomes on the books last year was beyond me. With Lloris signed, two of them should be sold.

So we have four senior keepers. Three of which are/were internationals. I see we've moved on from collecting RB's.
