I wonder at what point do we get fed up with WBA dicking about over Bera and move on. No reason why other targets will be easy to get the later in gets to closing time.

IIRC not the first time an additional mystery youngster has been mentioned by ITK. Would try and guess who but wouldn't know where to start as we aren't exactly lacking in youth in any areas.

I certainly sensed that Poch was in a good mood at yesterday's press conference. There were no hidden messages or between the lines statements.

I think our transfer business is on track.

And I think our scouting has been extensive and we have 3/4 options deep for the positions we want. It's clear we've cast the net out properly this window.

I wonder if the youngest referred to by Ali Z is Lucumi. There was lots of talk about a 3 mil deal almost agreed a week or so back.

Signing them early or signing them late is not the point I was making. It's about doing the research and having a long term plan of where we are going. The "Super Bale 7" as you put it were imo opportunistic buys that represented quality(where they were playing at that time) but not necessarily the correct fit for purpose. This is why so much of it has not worked out, and why it has cost us two seasons of floundering not to mention a fair bit of money.

Getting in Mitchell and overhauling the scouting and analysis set up completely has cost an awful lot of time and money. No way has Levy done this in order to spend the entire transfer window pissing about, only to sign available journey men in the last couple of days. The hits we have taken on players this window have been substantial, and yet we are still signing players for significant fee's, and there is still more to come. I know the net spend detectives will be out in force now, trying to work out just who we have to sell to make anything else happen, but perhaps just perhaps, what we have been saying all along(things have changed this time round) is actually true.
That's a proper good post trixy my son.

So if ITK turns out to be right, by window close we will have made 8 signings this summer... how did that happen o_O

Apologies if this point has been made. But the really exciting thing is the thought that these new players will be playing at the new stadium.

When you consider the amount of pacey WF targets we have looked at (2 signed already) its also fair to assume we really haven't seen how we want to play this season yet.

I was just coming to post that maybe Son was the player that none of the ITKs would mention but it seems thats been confirmed earlier.

Feels like a great signing.

I reckon we're gonna have an even better summer next year if this year's scouting is anything to go by.

Sorry. Signing Son's has completely gone off the radar for me now. Dont really care about that now. Im absolutely gutted over losing Azzaoui for nothing. Ugh. Terrible news. Kids gonna be a star one day and we need a winger coming up through the academy after Oduwa. This is why you sign your best youths to contracts before they get taken from underneath us. Ugh.

There have been countless "next big thing" that have disappeared without even kicking a ball in professional football. It's disappointing to lose him but fuck me there are no guarantees that he will ever be a Jonathon Blondel let alone the next Kevin De Bryne. I suspect you'll have to google that mean as you've only followed Spurs since Dempsey signed.

Hopefully we'll, at last, be dynamic and exciting going forward.
