Sarr was their best player today and gave Reggy problems early on. Only 23, too. Wouldn't say no to him.

Probably already been said a million times, but surely it would cost us even more to get Sarr from Watford, than it would to get (2 years left of his contract) Traore from Wolves?

Seems like we’ve generally been linked to the right type of players throughout this whole window...which hopefully means we know what the squad needs..

But also seems like the Don is effectively having to make dinner with whatever leftovers he can find in the fridge...

In retrospect, this has been a fairly predictable window:

1 month to go: "FFS, there is still a month to go, plenty of time to get our business done!"

1 week to go: "FFS, bunch of bedwetters in here, plenty of time to get our business done!"

48-hours to go: "FFS people, we are top of the table, and plenty of time to get our business done!"

September 2: "Huh, I did not see that coming, I thought for sure we would get at least 1 deadline day deal done!"

Shhhh, bedwetter! We can’t express our very understandable concern that we APPEAR to be struggling to get deals done.

Standard for us

I really think this is the guy we should over-spend a little on to get.

I know the whole "end product" argument - but I just think he is a guy who could really transform the attack. In addition to pure pace, he can be, along with Kane, a great hold-up outlet, which allows us to get out of our end, and possess the ball for a spell.

And, I think he is a guy who can help the team acclimate to Nuno's coaching and style.

Couldn't agree more.

He's (seemingly) the managers number 1 target & we should do all we can to get him in.

I know people can say "But NDombele was Poch's number 1 target & look how that's turned out". And they'd have a valid point!

The difference in this instance, is the fact that we know Traore can & will perform in the PL.

We know Traore and the manager get on extremely well & there's very clearly a bond between them. This is something that can't be understated in football. 2 way respect will always reap rewards.

We know Traore adds something we're seemingly lacking.

You know what you're getting with Traore. He wouldn't just be an expensive punt.

Unlike NDombele, who's just been an expensive ****.
