That would be perfect. Have my doubts though, personaly and that's not an attack on Ade. Just a reading of the situation and the oh-so-familiar feel of it all.
We need this man back to his best
Yep. We let people think we shop at Waitrose. Then when no one's looking we pop into Lidl. But we do use Waitrose carrier bags. Just to make the right impression. Our scouting is fine - We just dont pay Chelsea type monies, it is that strait forward.
The market values will start to shrink over the next few years for 'our' price range targets.
Danny Graham at Spurs? Good grief.I'd rather Graham over Hooper - proven in the PL. I'm actually very surprised Swansea would let him go.
Short answer is yes, expect the club to increase the hype over the next few days culminating in the proverbial:
- fax machine broke
- ran out of time
- complex third party ownership
- difficult selling club
Pretty much everything other than the truth which is that we had no intention of paying the required amount.
my browser speaks portuguese. Says he's been linked lots of places, the alternative to Drogba for Galatasaray and some other Turkish teams, and Tottenham is the latest to be linked. Also says that AVB knows him from his time with Academica.A bola saying we're after a Braga striker AVB has worked with previously, any Portuguese speakers around?

hooper for me - if any
€11m for De Jong. Sorry, Steve. Disagree with you on this. It's painfully obvious our scouting network is pony. More for it's lack of direction than anything else. We're linked with obvious candidates, which we simply can't afford, or last minute buys. LDJ and RVW et al have been known about for 3 yrs or so in the smaller leagues. Obviously the big guns don't worry themselves with those kinds of players often, waiting for them develope further. We should be signing these kinds of players though. Like Modric but at striker. Able to grow into formidable players but also good enough to contribute to the team in the meantime. Our scouting is fine - We just dont pay Chelsea type monies, it is that strait forward.

"The Celtic lad for me"...........Hooper! these names are a burden.
Hooper will have resale value 'if' it does not work out and Levy and myself if I was in shoes may see it as a calculated risk.
Negredo is not worth the risk IMHO....
Levy is right to keep the wheelbarrow in the shed till summer.
Diego Capel really made me laugh!
LDJ has been poor for BMG though so can't really say that's a huge miss currently.€11m for De Jong. Sorry, Steve. Disagree with you on this. It's painfully obvious our scouting network is pony. Anyways, this isn't the scouting thread and I've said my bit.
Negredo and Hooper are OK signings. Graham as a last-minute fall back. Not the actions of a club with a plan though. I understand having a financial plan and sticking to it but let's try and marry that up with a cohesive direction in terms of the players we need. Enough of this shit or bust approach. There's no need for it either.
