Modric - Forget it

And if people are tight lipped at Spurs atm it is not because we are planning a coup signing but because of the Willian fiasco imho, lets do our business quietly and under the radar

In the last market crash joe Lewis saw bear stearns lose a billion $. I would be shocked if we signed anyone this week while the euro teeters on the brink

Yep like William...

Nothing is as good as got until it's announced, I would have thought we had learned this already ;)

Am pretty sure Chelsea can't scupper this deal. Duncan Castles when publishing this story last week, said "we are favorite to sign Toby because its Toby has been guaranteed a starting spot. He knows he won't be ahead of Terry or Cahill. So ,he is angling for us"

Every week with fun time I happen to have some beverage worth opening in celebration. Randomly, I picked up some Belgian trappist beer yesterday :playful:.

I think Toby would be a great signing, and if he can help to bring out the best in Super Jan then it will represent a major turnaround in our defensive frailties last season.

Here's hoping.

The most impressive thing about our signing so far, and whether this new ITK of Toby joining or not joining does highlight some points.

Last season our defence was quite poor, further information into how poor was that we let in the 3rd highest amount of goals last year... shocking, especially considering we ended up 5th.

All of our signings so far have been to strengthen a deemed to be weak area, which is a massive positive for Spurs, and somewhat not such a 'spursy' thing to do.. Wimmer, Trippier, Toby... all strengthen the defence somewhat, tie that in with shipping some out, does make me happy.

Levy: "Oi, Franco, which one of us had that scattergun last? Can't find the bleedin' thing anywhere..."
