Why are people allowed to post threads who aren't verified in that section? So dumb.

It's about what gets ITK to you first. This way does that. We can then check and delete anything dubious.

Not, of course, that this is dubious.

Oh, all right, then. Just a bit.

Back soon to see if there's a source/history.

So, the ITK post has been deleted as we have no record of the source for spurs guvnor's information. Doesn't make it wrong. Just we can't support it. So, I'll post it here, as it possibly ties in with the photo we saw earlier.

Spurs in talks with CSKA Moscow for Seydou Doumbia.

spurs guvnor, if you read this, please send me, A&C and/or other Mods your details to avoid future deletions/mass hysteria.

As you were, people. :)

Oh, right. City have, let's see, Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, and Dzeko, not to mention Ade, Rocket Roque and two or three kids. Our striking department's well on a par with that little lot, isn't it? How the hell are we going to compete with an outfit that can not only outbid us every time, but also afford to pay its top players £200k and more a week? Unless you're one of those who thinks Levy should throw financial common sense out of the window and go the Leeds route (you're not, are you?), we simply cannot compete financially with City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal (although Wenger spends their money like it's coming out of his own pocket) and probably Liverpool. There's also the small matter of the perceived prestige deficit. We have to run just to stay still.

Sure, if it's firing on all cylinders our first-choice XI is fully capable of giving any team a game (well, it would be if we still had Ade, but let's ignore that minor detail, as well as the point that even he never looked like he was going to bang in 20+ goals last season), but beyond that things look distinctly thin in terms of quality. That was the case in Jol's time, and it's still the case now. But you delude yourself if you want to. It's a free country.

No I am not and don't think we need to spend too much money this summer either. I was talking about our team last year obviously as I quoted Harry from last season. You failed to register that I stated in my initial post that I had a lot of time for what Levy has done so your point about Leeds does not stand with me. Harry's points about not competing is uncalled for and I don't want our manager saying it just a short time after agreeing that we had a chance to win the title. I am not calling for him to be sacked but I would not want him having a 3 year deal at this point.

Really I thought he was 6ft + and not skinny?
He's huge as compared to Modric and Lennon. That's about it. He's a normal guy otherwise. I found the term 'huge' a bit funny, but whatever. No big deal.
