There's reports in Portugal mentioning an interest from Zenit in Moutinho, and their desire to meet the Release Clause of €40M... Don't know if any of it is true, though...

Wouldn't get too concerned though, since Moutinho clearly wants to come here.

I've seen hardly any French football since the 90s, so I've little real idea how good Remy is or isn't. If AVB wants him, that's good enough for me, as he knows a damn sight more about football than I ever will. Sounded like Harry was interested too. My only concern would be if Levy's buying Remy against AVB's better judgement, but I've seen nothing to suggest that's the case.

Remy's appearance figures are reassuring as regards fears over his fitness, but we're right to exercise caution there - past fitness is no guarantee of future fitness and all that.

We do need another striker, or someone who can fill in that role convincingly. If Remy's the only available option within our price range, so be it - he's certainly got to be better than no striker. But I see the striker purchase going down to the wire tomorrow...

Re: Rafa I assume. Real shame but the feeling that he could be offski, for whatever reason, has lingered all summer. So happy I got to see him wearing the Spurs shirt. I lusted after him for a decade and he finally joined. Bossed assnal games too. The gorgeous chubby little bastard. .

Is AVB going to sit there in his press conference and tell us the whole truth? The rumours don't come from nowhere. I think it's pretty safe to say that some interest was resurrected.

I think you're right. But he's totally dismissed it now so that means it's done with? It's not like he's hedged his bets with his denial, it's pretty categorical.

Can't see Levy spending that much on a 27 year old. He'd rather pay 5 mill more for Damiao I would have thought.
