Marseille are playing tonight so will be interesting to see if Remy lines up. I can see why he would want to leave to be fair to him (Joey Barton)

Sum Monsterism I don't want to be a dick, but I hope you lose that bet, actually I'm praying you lose that bet and I hope you lose the next 5 afterwards for even trying to profit on Spur's misery. Because let's be honest, we'll be beyond miserable if that lump of Geordie lard ever played for this club.

we're all entitled to our opinion. Could be that he's the best thing that happens to us...

I'd say it's about a 16-1 shot, and I like those odds. (y)

I think "preying on Spurs misery" is a bit out of turn tho, if he arrives it's 'cos we've bought him, not been infected with him.

Slightly off topic but whatever happened to adiepf? Does he post somewhere else now?
Banned at his request after putting his balls on the line on a piece of ITK and losing. He is on Twitter tho...

why would we sign Lorente or Remy when AVB prefers a 433 system........?

I'm happy with what we have atm and if we were to get anyone in then i'd say Willian as he can provide cover in the wide positions or play in the hole.

We so desperately need a back up striker I almost don't care who we get. I would accept Andy Carroll aslong as he wasn't our record signing. But in reality there are so many better players out there for the same sort of cash.

I'd take the Newcastle Andy Carroll, not sure I want the Liverpool one and his off field antics maybe a problem too.

I can't help but think there must be a desirable striker on the horizon. It just seems very odd to spend a heap of money on a lot of new players but not spend it on the one thing we really need. It doesn't make a lot of sense to spend £15m on Dembele, £12m on Lloris and possibly as much as £25m on Moutinho (all fairly sizeable transfer fees) without buying a fairly decent striker. Remy just ain't the man for me. I don't buy it; I think something else is going on.

Maybe Thomas Carroll is having one for a loan to west ham?

Or maybe they're having an early run through of their Xmas play?

See? It's not all bad, Xmas is only 4 months away. I like Xmas.

Signing a big oaf of a striker who can't score at the moment could be the best thing that happens to our club? WTF!?

Firstly he's not the type of striker that AVB likes, he has no technical proficiency, he doesn't help link up play and all he's good for is being a target for long-balls. So, unless you want us to revert to hoofing it at every opportunity, wanting Carroll is purely because you want to line your pockets at the expense of our club's progress.

Both would suit it well surely? Llorente could play the middle 1 of the 3 and Remy can play in any of the 3 positions. Remy in particular looks a good fit for it. Not sure we would pay such a large fee for Llorente when we are only playing 1 up top and already have Ade.

I think this makes sense. The bosses must know its an area that needs strengthening, and with quality.

As always tho, time will tell.
