Surely no-one can be surprised if AVB is upset at the prospect of not getting the players he wants. He will totally live or die based on what happens before 11pm tomorrow. He knows it, we know it, everyone knows it.

oh behave, jesus man, you really think the last 4 season TW's couldnt of been managed better!?

I'm pretty happy with the business the club does and think we have an excellent squad of players, I hope we can add 1 or 2 in key areas tomorrow but overall I think we are excellently run and if our windowes are so poor it's a wonder we have such a good squad.

Plus you indicated that no other club operates like we do at the end of the window which is so obviously wrong as the last day is always the busiest, for good and obvious reason.

Okay then. I'll be manager. Give me Messi, Ronaldo, Casillas, Xavi, Iniesta, Ribery, Silva, Vidic, Alves, Falcao, Alba. Solved.

Oh wait, its not that fucking simple!

.

You have to assume targets were discussed and agreed upon before AVB joined. If they weren't then that's truly crazy.

And that is suppose to be positive?

FFS, someone, somewhere has gone mentally insane.

Lets all go through last seasons team vs this seasons team shall we?

King out = Verts in, capish? so all ok.
Ade out = Ade in, capish? so all ok.
Modric out = Gylfi and Dembele in, not so god damn ok.

Getting Moutinho instead of Gylfi and Dembele would have left us with almost the same team as last season. A team that almost got us 3rd place.

Seriously, all dealings can go to hell if that would have ment us getting in Mouinho. That is how important I think he is.

Edit to JJ: Even if I did disagree with you on Remy not being positive my moment of insanity was not shot towards you.

One of the first questions I asked JJ last night was how did AVB feel about the signing of Dembele. Didn't get an answer.

I find it slightly unnerving that people have put Levy on such a pedestal that he cannot be criticised.

I have known a friend of Harrys for 5 years And Ive been a supporter of this fantastic football club for 32 years. Lets not get confused as to where more loyalty lies daccord?

Enic, driven by Levy have invested over time and got us back to a position where our support and financial backing suggests we should be. Along the way he has rebuilt the optimism of our fans by improving our business model and infrastructure.

Enic, come at the right time.

But lets not forget Santini, lets not forget Martin Jols sacking, lets not forget Juande Ramos.

Levy then took a step outside of his model and gave the job to Harry to rescue us from a position where he and his company would have been hounded out of town for. We were a ship sinking. The problem was he never anticipated that H would do so well. Doing it whilst ignoring Levys demands to bring in "Levys recommendations" He still had to get Harry out to continue his model

Stratford. Do you think this man actually gives a fuck about us and our roots? No its business

Good job Daniel, you helped put us back where we belong, but its not all because of you and your ego

(oh, and your transfer window games are boring, grow up!)

This isn't positive in my eyes
If what has been said before is true, that AVB doesn't want Remy... Then Remy not being dead is not a good thing in my eyes. If so, it's either shit because AVB is right and isn't get backed as Remy is not what we need... Or AVB is wrong in which case our manager doesn't know whats best for the team.

to be fair if I was AVB and gave Levy a list of target and he came back with me saying not getting any of them but you can have Remy I'd be throwing my toys out the pram, manager has a right to pick the players that fits his system, wouldn't be surprised if he walked before long if this turns out to be true.

To be fair, you don't have the first fucking idea of what's been going on behind the scenes.

It's all a bit worrying really, we just need to bite the bullet tmw with mout imo, take it to last minute to see if they break then if not just pay up and get him in.

Reading this lot we'll be paying off AVB by Xmas and Pleaty will be back as interim Manager. Trying to salvage our season.
Maybe even Glenn

Ffs .. 24hours left and still no modric replacement

Crazy enough i still think something will happen
Not so much how long w have got left as, are we going to do anything with the time.

Ledley, Luka, Pav, Bassong, Corluka, Kranjaer, Pienaar all gone from last years squad, with Kaboul out for 4 months, playing the oldest player in the league [all be it one I admire].
Gylfi & Vrtongen and Dembele added, anyone crazy enough to suggest we've strengthened this year?
Except maybe our bank balance.

If Porto want a ridiculous price we can't just cave because the manager used to have the player. That's like Harry trying to sign Lass and Joe Cole every fucking window and Levy shooting him down (thank fucking god).

Who said it was simple??, I'm saying if I had a list of targets and the chairman come back to me saying can't get/afford any of them but I have gone round randomly bidding on players I think are good value for money then I'd be thinking what the f**k is going on here, these guys aren't people i want.

I know this is difficult for some people to grasp, but WE CANT AFFORD MOUTINHO at the price Porto want ergo AVB should wind his neck in and if he doesn`t want any of the players Levy offers up then so be it.
Of course we can afford him. You cut cloth in different shapes, it's no more than 5m. Levy: 'Get him, do without Lloris/someone else'. *negotiate a bit* AVB: OK.

Conversely, in my opinion while I'm still totally behind AVB, on this issue I think he's experienced a club with a blank chequebook, and has seen the downside when he ended up being turfed out as he was only ever an expensive commodity.

Given that I'm surprised and disappointed if it's true that he's willing to kick up a fuss to demand we break our transfer record like that isn't a big deal, on a specific player rather than being able to search for best value. Especially when we just signed Dembele.

When did Remy turn into the French JJ? Would be a good signing for us I'm a bit confused where the hate has come from.
He just doesn't seem that good and seems to be affecting the potential transfers of other players that could really make a difference.
