Not reading too much into body language but AVB didn't give the impression he was overly excited when quizzed about Dembele during press conference video.

I asked JJ on twitter earlier in the week if there is a chance that AVB and Levy would fall out if AVB didn't get the signings he wanted. JJ's response was "ha, ha, ha" as if it was laughable to even contemplate.

I must admit the confusion surrounding the Remy bid/denial so catergorically from AVB raised my eyebrows as well. Didn't add up to me, difference between being coy and cut, or hedging your bets and a clear and emphatic denial.

Perhaps AVB feels undermined, and not feeling backed whatsoever and at the stage of his press conference had no idea that we were submitting a bid.

How can we not afford Moutinho when weve just got 32m? Whether we get a Modric replacement will make or break our season.

As well as money for Pav, Bassong, Corluka, Kranjaer, Pienaar...

I think most people understand this.....but had that been made clear to AVB the day he took the job?
