There are about 8 good players at Utd. Rooney, RvP, Herrera, Shaw, Mata, Kagawa, De Gea and Di Maria.

Of those I can't see them parting with 6, so only Kagawa and maybe Mata will be available. I would take either as both are creative and infinitely better than Welbeck

Pretty naive to say there wouldn't be some United players we'd be interested in. They might not be that good at the moment but they probably has some reasonable players when played in the right positions/system.

Anyway, not going to join any guessing game.

Blimey - that would be 8 newbies - topping last summer.

It means we'd also need to shift 6 overage players to meet the 25 limit too (we are currently at 28 without Stambouli).

I still feel Kagawa is a quality player and if we do get him i'll be very pleased, some of the stuff he did at Dortmund was filthy good.

But that's a few years ago now and whenever he has played for United, including against us I have been largely unimpressed, the odd pass or run aside.

Now, not given enough of a chance at United, maybe. Would I be disappointed if it was Kagawa, no...

One thing I find very strange about some of the reaction to Fazio/Stambouli is the moaning about how they weren't Pochettino's first choice and so DL is not supporting the coach. It's a very strange concept. Poch is not going to be stupid and/or stubborn and/or tactically inept enough to say that I need MS or MM or bust.

We have, in the past, suffered because we did not have alternatives to our first choices lined up, and we just simply tried for the first choice for way way too long. Here we tried, by all accounts MM was a sh*tshow of a deal and by all accounts we seemed to be jerked around on MS. It doesn't seem like there was much budging, and maybe we could have played the waiting game for both, but it could have easily backfired (as experience has shown us... Hi Willian. Hi Moutinho. Hi Rossi. Hi Leandro. Hi Luis Fabiano. Hi Arshavin etc.)

Regarding the United ITK - anyone they deem not good enough for them will likely be not good enough for us. So it is unlikely that it'll be someone like Mata etc. and if it's Hernandez or someone like that, it won't be a starter. So calm your baps.

He should learn how to play Centre forward before he makes this demand

Powell is a talent but he's very lazy and has a pretty poor attitude. I can't see Pochettino being interested.
