I may be mistaken but I think we can also do the deal subject to a medical, and apply for an extension of the deadline if the circumstances of Portugal's WC qualifier prevent us from getting one done beforehand.

I'm kind of hoping that Gelson happens just so that I can get my faith back in DL and because I so want Poch and DL to be singing from the same hymn sheet. Always liked his style, but have been a bit disillusioned with the last few windows.

Not the only, but a big snag in any possible deal with Sporting would be if, no matter what the fee, they feel they can let him go with almost no time to get a replacement in. Would they have someone ready to step in? Does Sporting need the cash?

Don't they seem to have a steady flow of unbelievable cheap talent from South America so they don't tend to miss a beat when they sell? And then the other leagues buy the new guys for enormous fees a window later...

From what the ITK's have suggested, all the targets we are looking at right now have been so for some time and we have already spent time in dialogue with the different clubs. Many mentions of ducks in rows etc. So one must hope that all is, still, going to plan. Even it doesn't seem like it to us plebs.
