Love the update mate thanks, all very positive and exciting, so so good to see such a clear plan we are executing on as early as we can.

As for the volume of signings I said a while back that in Conte’s first season at Juve with Paratici he overhauled the squad signing 10 players and I wonder if come summer we might look to do the same, the cash injection and CL football seem to have enabled us to be on track to get close to that.

Some might say 7,8,9,10 signings is too many and will unsettle the squad but I disagree as a lot of these signings are seasoned pro’s who know either the league or conte and so will fit in and adapt very quickly.

It was pretty much a miracle conte got us 4th with the squad we had last year from the position he was in and we were always one or two big injuries away from having to call upon some very subpar replacements (winks, Lucas etc), luckily we went out of Europe and signed Kulu and Bentancur in Jan and the rest us history but it is very pleasing to hear about the potential volume of signings as if we want to compete in every trophy like conte will want us to and with the 5 sub rule next season then tbh 7 signings is really the minimum we need.

I meant discussions have taken place between us and HC. If I’m honest I don’t know if it will progress. I’m sure we speak to many many players/agents.

Would align with info in the press from a few days ago. Inter really struggling. As much as I think he’s very good technically he’s by far the weakest link we’ve had for the creative role imo. I’d rather have another go at trying to get Dybala rather then facilitating his move to Inter, he’d be no less suited to the PL. Appreciate the info tho bud as always.

Trying to stay on topic:
Tielemans or Cahanoglu, while decent and solving the Winks issue- wouldn't they present an HG/NHG issue?
A home grown midfielder (Maddison mentioned above) might make more sense?

I’m fairly sure there was ITK before the season ended that we had interest but he was expensive. Even so I’m sure he is on the list even if he’s not at the top due to price.

I could be wrong here but from memory we had ITK over the last few months about HC, YT, Eriksen, Dybala, SMS and Maddison. There was also talk of Zaniolo but more Roma trying to sell him to us rather then us being truly interested. There might be others I have forgotten and I’m sure the list is longer. there’s also every chance some have fallen off the list like Dybala (although who knows if he gets desperate and drops his price right down). Parquet has only ever been mentioned by the press as has Szoboszlai.

If the volume of signings does end up being 7-10 then it will be amazing because a lot of us probably thought best case we make a good chunk of signings this summer say 4-5 to push us closer to where we need to be to challenge for the tittle and on all 4 fronts etc but with 7-10 signings and we’d pretty much be jumping to a squad as close as you can get to city/Chelsea/liverpools in terms of depth of quality all in one go.

This is what happens when you get these two world class Italians ?? involved, no messing around with Conte & Fabio at the helm, all systems very much go/FORZA to go all out to be competitive in every competition ?

Soak this all in guys and gals, the volume and quality of signings and ITK this summer is off the hook ? (huge thank you to @Hercules @Trix @Hotspur88 @What Lies Beneath @dovahkiin @rebrab etc) and makes up for many many years of pain, frustration and disappointment in many previous transfer windows.

So positive and refreshing.

If we truly are also looking for a AMC doesn't it make more sense to get Eriksen? Unless he's saying he wants first team guarantee which I can't imagine he realistically expects for a team in UCL he's surely the best option.

The only thing that makes sense is a player who can player AMC and also RWF in a similar mould to Deki for when Lucas goes next summer.

Of the AMF with whom we have been credibly linked, the one with the highest ceiling (assuming he would come to England) is Zaniolo. High ceiling and given his injury history, a risk. On his day, elite level talent.

Glad the momentum is still with us in the lead up to the Korean tour.

Also clear change in that Chelsea attempted and failed to gazump us for Richarlison.

Doubt it very much think he is rated at around 70 m by lazio . Can’t see us spending that on a central midfielder especially when defensively that money could be better spent .
