Thanks for the round up.
Looking good if QPR and WetSpam take some of our dead wood.
Looking better if Vert finally signs.
Who thought jj was actually Jenas? Can't imagine a member of our squad would so stupid to leak news.
And H... Well, I'll be glad if he stays, I think he has done us proud. But if he does jump ship I think Levy has someone in his little black book that will look after us very well!

Well Harry is going to stay topic of speculation here whilst itk fuels the fire, we might not like it, but if there is valid itk, then we can debate it, though I would rather it just be about the itk and not about his records, formations and signings... Think we can keep that to the Harry thread no?

Jeans and Bentley to west ham would be nice, try and get two off the books early if possible, then fil and maybe corluka to go? Or is corluka coming back (to stay, I realise his loan has ended).

I'm not sure they'll find a pair big enough for Sam.

Hope all the rumours about Harry are wrong and we can get on with transfer targets instead of having to get the players used to a new manager and our club writing off another season while the new man finds his feet.
Unless the new man happened to be a certain senor Guardiola now that would be the stuff dreams are made of.

As opposed to writing off another season with Harry on a one year deal, with all the hype and rumours that come with that? Harry off at end of season, signing new deal, linked with hundreds of replacements, player rumours of leaving if Harry is leaving etc....
This summer is our chance to wipe the slate clean and start again, with a new man at the helm, with a long-term view, rather than clinging on to Harry for another year.
We have a year in the Europa League (no champions league distraction) where our new Manager can 'cut his teeth' so to speak. HE can sample European football, acclimatise to the rigours of European football, squad rotation, 2 games most weeks. Clear some deadwood, bring in young exciting talent, mould a team and aim to make a serious assault on top 3 again the season after next at the latest. Though if we manager to pull of the signings we are linked with, and have Rodgers in charge, I'd fully expect a serious assault on top 3 next term.

I'm not sure he would want to. I'm always amazed at how Wenger, Ferguson et al are able to get these types of players to just hang around and call upon them when needed. Corluka would be a good back up for us. Make our squad stronger.

Apologies in advance for asking a question(s) that has probably been asked a million times and the answers to which I have missed, but does the international transfer window open on 9th June? So we can buy and sell within the PL but someone like Vert/Hazard cannot officially go through before then? So we cannot expect anything concrete, nor should we, till that date (other than domestics transfers, but these hinge on international transfers)? In other words, we cannot open Christmas presents till Christmas Day? Though we can tug at the wrapping paper a little? This seems a stupid post as I write it and I must be missing something big that my tiny brain cannot cope with!

Do you live under a rock fella? Just off the top of my head: Arsenal, chelsea, Necastle and Swansea have all announced (or are set to announce) signings for next season already.

Oh and to rebrab's info (cheers my good man btw)... Inter playing silly buggers is exactly what I thought they were doing. Probably thought they had let Sandro go on the cheap and are believing leandro is the new superstar striker everyone should pay over 20m for.

Am glad Levy is not smashing the piggy bank and counting his tuppence to get this kid. Good yes, but not worth the numbers qouted I don't believe, especially when you consider he probably won't be first choice.

I mean who pays ridiculous sums of money for a striker and then puts them on the bench? (sarcasm)

Didn't see the JJ info last night - interesting he only states Harry to Chelsea is a non-starter and not categorically stating that Harry is not going anywhere.

Or maybe i'm reading too much into it.

On the Harry stuff I don't think the 'Harry gone by Friday' ITK makes a lot of sense. Why would it be happening on Friday and not today (or in fact yesterday) if it was that certain?

The fact that POTL and JJ are quiet on Harry leaving suggests to me that it's all a bit of a hullaballoo which has blown up over twitter. Either way though I hope we get it sorted very soon one way or another.

As for the players, if we can get JJ and Bentley gone that would be a good start. Really need to clear the chaff as quickly as possible this window (although I don't think that'll be easy).

I'm fairly excited about a back line of Walker-Kaboul-Vertonghen-BAE. That's pretty damn solid.

And with a 'backup' of Naughton-Dawson-King-Rose (plus the possible inclusions of Caulker and Gallas), I think we'll be almost sorted at the back.

JJetset said at teh end of APril that Harry needed to win his last 3 games to save his job. Which he didnt do. This is still JJs status update on his profile page. It hasnt changed. Obviously at that point Harrys job was in considerable doubt, and althought we scraped a top 4 finish, we didnt win the last 3 games, we didnt get champions league.

I am still of the personal belief that Harry will be gone. Though I'll be pretty pissed off at the typical Tottenham Manager of making this change the day after the guy I would like to see in the job has been appointed Manager at one of our rivals (Rodgers).

Dear God, some of you clearly have no bed to go to looking at the times of the first bunch of posts in the thread!!!!!

JJ mentioned it in his update last night, saying there was no legs to the "Harry to Chelsea" story.

Either way, listening to the radio this morning on the way to work and the Rodgers to Liverpool story is really gathering pace. IF Levy was sounding him out or considering him as Harry's replacement then these stories may ultimately force Levy into making a decision one way or t'other.

Personally my main concern is that whatever happens it is sorted soon to avoid a summer of uncertainty and rumours and allow for focus on preparing for the season ahead.

If Rodgers is considering leaving Swansea, and we're considering getting rid of Harry, then Levy needs to have a very busy day today. If we sack Harry and don't get Rodgers then I think that'll be an error from Levy.

Anyway...will be interesting to see if there's any other info today. My gut still says Harry will be in charge for the first game of the season.

I'm sure i've seen on more than one occasion us linked with AVB as well.

Ultimately though, none of us are privy to the conversations at board level and to what is going through the mind of Levy so we can only speculate.

i wonder if the scousers trying again for Rodgers have forced Levy's hand, wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers is the one Levy wants, but maybe was prepared to let array have another season whilst Rodgers had one more at swansea gaining PL experience,

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Waiting another year would In other circumstances be the most sensible thing to do.

Wouldn't be surprised one bit if Harry goes. As early as Friday, though? Hmm.

Maybe Liverpool sounding out one of our potential replacements has forced Daniel's hand?
