I think Levy should be a bit more pro-active on the Harry front, either sack him and get Brendan in now or offer him a contract extension...with one year left on his current deal we are in no mans land.

I'm sure i've seen on more than one occasion us linked with AVB as well.

Ultimately though, none of us are privy to the conversations at board level and to what is going through the mind of Levy so we can only speculate.

Very true. All of this could be rubbish and Levy could be currently planning a 50m outlay on players to support Harry with.

I just wish we weren't speculating about our manager at all at this stage.

It's difficult to fathom the Harry stuff. Him apparently leaving has been going on for years and because of all the anti-Harryness I can't help but think it may just be stirring

The ITK stating VDV is happy at Spurs and in London is especially gratifying considering the story in this morning's Mail about Schalke being in for him. Fingers crossed the ITK is more accurate than the Mail.

All the rubbish Internet sites are really ramping up the Damiao link now. I know we have had conflicting ITK on this one but would love to know how interested we are. I get the feeling we think it's a risk and worth it at £14m but not £20m.

we arent in no mans land, we still have a squad and a manager even with just a one year contract, i dont have a problem with this and i am sure Levy doesnt also or he would have sacked him by now.... why do it now instead of the end of the season.

Statistically, a blind man shooting arrows at a target 200ft away is more accurate than the Mail.

If Rodgers is considering leaving Swansea, and we're considering getting rid of Harry, then Levy needs to have a very busy day today. If we sack Harry and don't get Rodgers then I think that'll be an error from Levy.

Anyway...will be interesting to see if there's any other info today. My gut still says Harry will be in charge for the first game of the season.

I agree with that TSH

In regards to HR... I'll believe it when i see it....

I know 2 full time head coaches at Spurs. I've given their names to Inoffmeleftshin.

I've txt both asking if theres any truth about HR leaving. I'll let you know what they reply.

But thats the thing though, I'm not getting a feeling of a massive amount of "anti-Harryness". Instead people appear to be really quite ambivalent about whether he stays or not which, for me, is a very surreal situation and something I don't think I've ever come across before. People genuinely seem to think "well if he stays I'm more than happy but if he goes I'm also more than happy".....strange days these!

Don't need to worry about ITK on this one just look at the wealth of quotes from the guy about how much he loves us. I don't normally buy into all that as often they are just trying to get the press off their back, but VDV says it without being linked with a move which in my opinion makes it more believable. Don't see him going anywhere.

I agree with the sentiments that Levy needs to make a move on this one way or the other.
Uncertainty over a manager means the players won't know who's in charge or who to play for... Yes they will train and play, but the full focus is not there. We saw that with England-gate.

Either sack him and get in the replacement now, or back him and offer him an extension. I like Harry, but he did drop a clanger that cost us third, so I could live with a replacement t if it was the right man.

But equally I am happy to keep a fully focussed HR.

your move Danny boy.

2 posts from Jasper on SO:

I am not advocating getting rid, but there is stuff you really do not know which goes against the grain and if you did you would be speaking different, and for the sake of politics and confidentiality the mods and certain respected ITK's on here would not go public on what they know, so let us be careful by backing him blindly based upon recent finishes. All is certainly not well at the club and that cancer cannot spread. It is up to the board how they deal with it, so stop knocking the club and board and let them do what is right whatever that may be. Let me hasten to add that i am not suggesting that you are knocking the board it is a generic comment

What astonishes me is how a lot of us because of recent finishes are spouting up a blind alley. We all know they want rid of him! We all know they are frustrated with him! We all know he cacked up the hazard deal in January when we could of done a pre-contract agreement. We all know it was the board who forced Ade on him as he wanted Carlton Cole, push for the drog which was not realistic and much more. We all know he suggest we sign Rio and J Cole who would fill modders boots. We all know that he is a cack man-manager, and half the squad if not more do not rate or get on with him. We all know certain international players at the club cannot believe how clueless he is, and his old school f'ing and blinding and players is not working. Ghosh it is a shambles

A fair point, and one that I overlooked when I broke out in panic upon reading the story. The transfer fever is getting to me earlier than ever this year!!

Liverpool have never been known for their good football. Swansea were dubbed Swansalona last season (and had unreal passing stats). This summer he is working with the Spain squadf and has been at Barca. The guy is working really hard on becoming a great manager associated with great football. Tottenham are on the up, he may be the man to take us to Glory, plkaying the way we demand. Liverpool are a bunch of shit****s.

I think we are correctly intersted in Rogers. Martinez -as a side note, has a terrible win percentage.

My concern is that whilst Harry only has a year left he will be whoring himself to the cash cow....Personally I don`t think we should get rid, I`m a Harry supporter, there I`ve said it.....
